fixedWe shipped a video game.DEATHMARK released earlier today, April 28th. To anyone who we've been sharing fun games with and collecting feedback from, thank you. Your support has been invaluable. As some of you may now, the game launched with a lot of issues that impacted gameplay and stability. The reason for these issues was due to a bad last minute merge at the final hours before launch, and ultimately that is the build that ended up shipping. This brought back a lot of bugs we had already fixed. We've since became aware of how this happened and are working to make sure future updates don't suffer from similar issues. Already out now is a preliminary patch which seeks to improve stability and revert a lot of issues caused by the aforementioned build issue, and we'll have another sizeable patch go out either later today (April 28th) or tomorrow (April 29th), which will include patch notes . Thanks to Steam being really generous with how often we're able to ship updates, there's a chance you'll also see smaller updates outside of larger bugfix updates. We'll do our best to supply notes with those as well. With launch woes behind us and our plans on how we're addressing them, let's get into our plans for future content for DEATHMARK.
addedSome highlights include:MURDER MODE! This is an entirely new mode being added to DEATHMARK. This Murder mode is directly inspired by MurderV3, a fan favorite UGC experience created by Wired Creations. Unfortunately MurderV3 will not be playable in the future because the platform it is hosted on will be shutting down in June, so we're bringing a version of it to DEATHMARK! This mode will co-exist alongside the default Ritual mode, which is what the default card game is called within DEATHMARK. Please stay tuned for more details on the Murder mode, which will implement the same investigation style, free roam gameplay of MurderV3 with an added DEATHMARK twist. - NEW MAP! TWO FERNS MANSION! Some of you already know what this is. We will be looking into remastering MurderV3's locale, Two Ferns Mansion. This map will be available in both modes (Ritual, Murder). Other highlights include: - 4 more roles! Each role brings 2 new ability cards, along with their sigil! This means 8 new ability cards and 4 new sigils! - 12 more item cards that every role can draw from! - Steam achievements - Initial implementation of cosmetics (earnable via gameplay!) - Balance changes - Gameplay tweaks and additions There's even more things that we didn't include above! Although the roadmap encompasses features and additions we are committed to adding to the game, here's a brief list of other additions we want to try and add to the game within the next few months: - Controller Support - Steam Deck Support (and hopefully verification!) - Community suggested additions We realize that VR isn't listed above just yet. Currently, we are aiming to tackle the VR implementation for DEATHMARK much later in 2026. We haven't forgotten about it! Our roots in game development were born primarily from playing or working on UGC rooms in VR, so it is deeply important to us.
changedSome highlights include:And with that, this post is just about over! Thank you all so much for playing DEATHMARK! If you still haven't joined the cult, what are you waiting for? [dynamiclink href=" https://store.steampowered.com/app/3618560/DEATHMARK/ "]
