As we keep updating the game, we will be slowly increasing the price of the game as we work through our promised roadmap and beyond. We're also happy to announce with this update, we've completed all of our roadmap bullet points for May! We are also hard at work for everything in the June and July+ sections. Steam post imageWe expect that the max price of the game once it is out of Early Access and everything is said and done to be $9.99. This won't likely happen until much later in 2026. By the time we reach the $9.99 price point, the game will feature more cards , more roles , Murder Mode , cosmetics , a progression system , new maps for BOTH modes , and last but not least, the ability to play in VR . We don't expect the next price increase to be until we release Murder Mode sometime in July or August, when the game will increase in price to $7.99. The intent for sharing these plans early is always to be transparent and honest with you folks, as you're the only reason we can do any of this to begin with. Thank you.   • Guess the role of your target. If you are correct, Direct Kill them. If you are incorrect, you have a 50% chance of being Direct Killed instead.

Developer comment: "Deadly Guess is replacing Coalescence and aims to reduce Role-Calling (letting other players know of your role out loud) by allowing protections to be bypassed if you guess a player's role correctly. However, guess incorrectly and you may be met with your own demise instead. We'll be keeping a close eye on feedback about this card and role-calling in general."

VIGILANTE ↕️

Improvised Kill ↕️

  • By default, now has a 30% chance of killing your target.

  • If a kill succeeds, it is now a Direct Kill. Direct Kills bypass protections.

  • Added a new Synergy with Stay Alert.

    • If targeting a player you found using a negative action with Stay Alert, change the odds of killing to 100%.

  • Initial draw turn cooldown decreased. (2 > 1)

Developer comment: "The last balance patch had rendered the Vigilante to be too overpowered. The changes done were temporary while we were getting the new Synergy ready. We're hoping that this change allows the Vigilante to still gamble for kills, while also using Stay Alert to guarantee securing kills."

Sigil of Reversal ⬆️

  • Required sigil charge decreased by 60%. (1300 > 550)

  • Is limited to a max of 1 per hand.

Crystal Shard ⬇️

  • Initial draw turn cooldown increased. (0 > 1)

Developer comment: "One of the more common complaints we've heard is that people start the game with Crystal Shard in their hand and that it's not super useful on the first turn. While at the same time, it can be too useful on the first turn. So we're adding a turn cooldown before it can be drawn."

BUG FIXES

  • Attempted fixes for various soft-locks when players would leave the game at specific moments.
