Hi everyone!
This update I've been deep in the trenches of the Civilian AI trying to fix weird behaviours.
One issue I've kept noticing is this weird bug where all the indoor civilians were immediately becoming alerted of a threat right at the beginning of the simulation. This is due to a bug in how the Cop AI system works when there isn't any cops. It's fixed now!
Somewhere in one of the updates a UI bug sneaked in that was having the Airborne, Randomize and Die First checkboxes be shifted down too low. The Airborne box was supposed to be related to the Infection Rate, the Randomize for the Zombify Ticks and the Die First for the Symptom Ticks. This is fixed!
There was also another bug in the AI that was causing civilians with guns to behead dead civilians before realising that zombies were even in the simulation. This was also due to a bug in the Cop AI system sending out the emergency broadcast too soon.
While we are on the topic of beheading, one of the things I added a long time ago when people kill dead zombies before they rise was the status "Beheading Corpse". Now that beheading is actually visually a part of the game, this has been updated so that the corpses are actually beheaded. Writing patch notes can be strange sometimes.
