hi im here with another patch patch patch yay
ive actually gone and done quite a bit of stuff since the last patch, theres quite a few balance changes and such here! ive also added a short tutorial, and a way to view what those pesky little status effects are doing to you, finally!
new content
added short descriptions for each of the status effects, just hover over the icon to see what they do!
added a short tutorial segment to play through when you first start the game to help give new players an idea of what happens throughout the game.
general changes
increased max skill slots from 3 to 4, i feel like this introduces a lot more build variety and opportunities that are just a lot more fun
reduced general biome length, biomes are now an average of like 8 to 9 ish rooms? instead of being like 12. it was kind of a slog
to compensate for shorter biomes, scaling for both enemies and players has been slightly increased
skills that damage the caster can no longer reduce the health of the caster below 1
selling items has more or less been reworked, the xp gained from selling items has been increased slightly and now scales with your level, runes sell for 3x the xp. this should make it a more viable option past level 5 (like seriously, it was BAD)
a visual indicator for when your health or ap changes is now present
rune changes
im gonna keep this one short since almost every rune has been changed.
all stat runes now scale slightly harder with your level
- Cosmeticincreased the effect of all vigor runesgifted grace, farsight, and heart of the deserter all now grant 0.75 ap per turn (up from 0.65) - polished conduit now grants 1.2 ap per turn (up from 1)
bug fixes
purify and clear mind skills should now heal instead of dealing damage (whoops!)
fixed the text issue honest to god it really shouldnt happen anymore, no more incorrect damage numbers should show up
fixed a bug where status effects werent properly being displayed
fixed text wrapping issue where the list of status effects applied to an actor would run off the screen? (why did it do that? what)
fixed an issue where ap could go into the negatives
fixed rounding error on runes (no more +0.6666666667 damage sorry team)
skills now have a failsafe for when players experience connection issues, no more inputs being eaten by janky connections!
