addedOn the programming and animation side, we’ve been busy getting things just right. We’ve recently completed some cool new animations and added a brand-new melee weapon. To make it all feel smooth and satisfying, we’ve spent time tweaking the animations to ensure the gameplay looks polished.
changedOur current focus is on enhancing the weapon system, especially for ranged weapons. We’re introducing deep customization, so you’ll be able to swap out attachments like handgrips, scopes, handles, ammo, and lasers. Depending on the weapon’s grade, there will be 4-8 interchangeable parts, allowing you to build a setup that fits your style.
addedOn the art and design front, we’ve been working on maps that immerse you in the game’s multiverse setting. The first new map we’re unveiling is the Void Supermarket, a haunting interior map with plenty of atmosphere. We’re also starting on a snow tundra base map set in a post-apocalyptic world. If you have ideas for new maps or environments you’d like to see, let us know in the comments—we’re always open to inspiration from our community!
addedWe’re also diving into armor and helmet designs. These designs reflect the multiverse theme, blending different eras and styles into unique character looks. Imagine a hero in medieval armor mixed with WWII elements, or a futuristic knight carrying both ancient swords and high-tech gadgets. The enemies will be just as diverse, ranging from cyber-gargoyles to tech-enhanced knights. This mix of past and future will make gameplay fresh and unpredictable, with each realm offering new challenges to overcome.

Hi Dark Hunters,

Welcome to our very first update for Dark Light: Survivor!

We’re super excited to finally share what we’ve been working on. As a small indie team, this game is a labor of love, and we can’t wait to bring you along on this journey. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening behind the scenes:

On the programming and animation side, we’ve been busy getting things just right. We’ve recently completed some cool new animations and added a brand-new melee weapon. To make it all feel smooth and satisfying, we’ve spent time tweaking the animations to ensure the gameplay looks polished.

Our current focus is on enhancing the weapon system, especially for ranged weapons. We’re introducing deep customization, so you’ll be able to swap out attachments like handgrips, scopes, handles, ammo, and lasers. Depending on the weapon’s grade, there will be 4-8 interchangeable parts, allowing you to build a setup that fits your style.

You might notice that the game has a pixelated look. This is something we’ve designed intentionally to give it that nostalgic old-school gaming vibe we love so much. But if you prefer something different, no worries! We’ve included the option to switch seamlessly between cinematic mode and pixel mode whenever you like—so you get the best of both worlds.

On the art and design front, we’ve been working on maps that immerse you in the game’s multiverse setting.

We’re also diving into armor and helmet designs.

As this is our first update, we want to thank you for being here and supporting us from the start. We’re just getting started, and your enthusiasm and feedback mean everything to us. Sharing our posts and updates helps us reach more players, and we’ll be posting regularly with new designs and gameplay updates.

Thank you for joining us on this adventure. We’re thrilled to share more as we go, and we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Let’s make Dark Light: Survivor an incredible experience together. See you in the multiverse!
