addedAdditions:New Tutorial Mode: This mode is a guided playthrough of a real round, with the exception of death being disabled. All the usual scares and hunts are still enabled, however. The tutorial map will include question mark triggers that explain various items in the game. This "Guided Playthrough" system can be enabled for regular single player games, as well as in multiplayer and is used per person, meaning anyone or everyone can use guided playthrough. While working on this complex tutorial system, I ended up overhauling the path finding and navigation a lot, so the ghost may act differently depending on certain factors, such as doors being locked, players hiding in hiding places, etc.
addedAdditions:New music player on the menu to play music from the game (and some other IRL music of mine). WARNING : I added a new slider to separate the volume of in game music vs the volume of music in the menu, so your default music volume may not be what you had it at before. Headphone users beware.
changedChanges:Reverted drawers and cabinets back to unopenable. Anything found in the drawers or cabinets previously can now be found out in the open. This is the second time I've attempted to use the furniture as a storage for random items and just like the first time, it appears to be somewhat tedious and finicky to deal with, bringing me back full circle with disabling them again.
changedChanges:Increased the default Non-Nomad sprint duration from 10 seconds to 15.
addedChanges:Added the number back to the burn material counter.
changedChanges:Moved all the spawn points to the intersection of the map, directly in front of the church.

    • This mode is a guided playthrough of a real round, with the exception of death being disabled. All the usual scares and hunts are still enabled, however. The tutorial map will include question mark triggers that explain various items in the game.

      • This "Guided Playthrough" system can be enabled for regular single player games, as well as in multiplayer and is used per person, meaning anyone or everyone can use guided playthrough.

    • While working on this complex tutorial system, I ended up overhauling the path finding and navigation a lot, so the ghost may act differently depending on certain factors, such as doors being locked, players hiding in hiding places, etc.

  • New music player on the menu to play music from the game (and some other IRL music of mine).

    • WARNINGI added a new slider to separate the volume of in game music vs the volume of music in the menu, so your default music volume may not be what you had it at before. Headphone users beware.

Changes:

  • Reverted drawers and cabinets back to unopenable. Anything found in the drawers or cabinets previously can now be found out in the open.

    • This is the second time I've attempted to use the furniture as a storage for random items and just like the first time, it appears to be somewhat tedious and finicky to deal with, bringing me back full circle with disabling them again.

  • Flashlight Changes

    • Battery life has been extended to 5 minutes, up from 3.5.

    • At "empty" battery, the flashlight will just be incredibly dim instead of completely off to prevent getting absolutely lost in the dark if you neglected to turn on lights or light candles.

  • Increased the default Non-Nomad sprint duration from 10 seconds to 15.

  • Added the number back to the burn material counter.

  • Moved all the spawn points to the intersection of the map, directly in front of the church.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where the shovel that could rarely spawn at the burial site was unobtainable until the Murder Weapon side quest was completed.

  • Fixed an issue where the ghost couldn't cross the threshold of doors.
