Greetings, your Grace! 👑
Welcome to the Chronicles of Rodovia - a series designed to prepare you for ascension to the throne! 📖 Thanks to the following entries, you will learn how to manage your kingdom and your subjects, make crucial, even fateful decisions, and safeguard your reign from premature demise. In each subsequent post, we will take a closer look at a different gameplay element and explain the basic mechanics that govern the world of Crown of Greed, so be sure to follow them carefully.
This entry in the Chronicles takes a different turn, as we momentarily move beyond the battlefield and the footholds created in every mission. We have wanted to tell you more about the Kingdom Management System for a long time now, and we are glad that we are ready to introduce you to more details. The feature we describe below not only adds depth to the gameplay, but also gives you another field to make important decisions and try out different strategies. Let's dive right in!
Let your kingdom thrive - even between missions
If you've already played the pre-release version of Crown of Greed or have been following the Chronicles of Rodovia series closely, you're certainly already familiar with the game's gameplay loop. You find yourself in the middle of nowhere, in hostile enemy territory, where you must fight for every inch of land and every single shiny coin. However, between these murderous challenges there is also time for a moment of rest and calm planning.
Behold the Kingdom Management System - a feature allowing you to expand your kingdom between missions. You can think of it as a new meta-progression mechanic, where you - the king - can use the points earned during the campaign to buy upgrades for your kingdom. Needless to say, these upgrades will surely prove to be very helpful when tackling the challenges ahead!
Naturally, the question arises: how do you obtain the points needed to develop your kingdom? Heritage points, as they’re known, are earned by completing a scenario’s main objective, with greater rewards available at higher difficulty settings, and by taking on and completing various side missions. The rule is simple here - the more deadly the quest, the more Heritage points you get! That’s why it can be worth pushing your management skills to the limit and tackling the higher difficulty levels - especially since the points can only be obtained once per mission, so you can't just "farm" points in one scenario over and over again.

What kind of upgrades and buildings can you choose?
It turns out that there are many buildings that can enhance your headquarters, and each of them will provide a different effect and bonuses. Be sure to review them all carefully before making your selection to manage your Heritage points wisely. Your choice of upgrades should reflect your unique playstyle and the way you manage your cities during missions. And now - the buildings. They are divided into categories:
Economy
Military
Reconnaissance
Science
and Others

Making the right choice...
On top of that, many of the buildings can be upgraded from Tier 1 to Tier 2 and Tier 3, just as can the heroes' dwelling during missions. When you decide to upgrade a building, you will increase its efficiency and provide yourself with additional benefits - but to make sure this is not groundless,
