Cropia changes
Hi everyone! π
Thank you very much for all the feedback, reports, and suggestions you continue to share with us. We are still reviewing the ideas and pain points shared through the Steam Discussions and using them to determine which areas should be improved first.
This update focuses on improving performance and overall smoothness in Cropia, especially around busier town areas and crowded indoor spaces. We have also included several gameplay fixes for request boards, Town Supplier delivery, growbed interactions, and fishing balance.
Here is what is included in this update:
1. Performance and Smoothness Improvements
We have made several optimization improvements to help Cropia feel smoother and more responsive during normal gameplay.
These improvements are mainly focused on reducing unnecessary processing and rendering work, especially in areas with many characters, animals, scenery objects, or indoor walls.
a. Smoother Town Performance
Townsfolk and animals that are outside the screen are now processed more efficiently in the background.
This helps reduce unnecessary performance load while keeping their activities running normally. Farm employees should also continue completing their tasks as expected while the game runs more efficiently.
b. Lighter Environment Rendering
Distant grass, plants, and trees are now rendered more efficiently.
This should help exploration feel smoother when moving around the world, especially in areas with more scenery and outdoor objects.
c. Smarter Object Rendering
Objects that are blocked by walls or no longer visible will not be rendered unnecessarily.
This helps reduce the graphical load in indoor areas and denser locations, making the game feel lighter and more responsive in those situations.
Additional Improvements
1. Fishing Balance Adjustment
Adjusted fishing balance in one fishing area to reduce how often rocks are obtained.
This should make fishing results feel a little more balanced in that area while still keeping rocks as a possible result.
Bug Fixes
1. Daily Request Board Stock Update Fix
Fixed an issue where the Daily Request Board could show outdated stock information while the board was already open.
Item availability and the Submit button will now update more reliably when relevant inventory changes happen, making the request completion flow more consistent.
2. Town Supplier Drop Box Item Handling Fix
Fixed an issue where items taken back from the Town Supplier Drop Box could create unnecessary item stacks instead of returning to the proper held item or matching Bag stack when possible.
This should make the Drop and Take flow behave more consistently when delivering items for Town Supplier requests.
3. Plant Field Interaction Fix
Fixed an issue where using the animal movement interaction on a plant field could open an invalid animal movement popup and cause the panel to become stuck.
The animal movement popup will now only open for valid livestock pen.
Thank you again for your continued support, reports, and feedback. We are still reading and collecting everything you share through the Steam Discussions, and we will continue prioritizing improvements based on their feasibility and impact on the overall experience.
Some suggestions may require additional planning, development, and testing before they can be included. If you do not see a particular suggestion in this update, it does not necessarily mean it has been overlooked.
If you encounter any issues or unexpected behavior, please let us know through the Steam Discussions so we can investigate further.
We will keep listening, improving, and growing together with you. Happy playing! π±π
