Hello! Thanks again to everyone who has followed or wishlisted Craterlands.

fixedThings are progressing really well and I'm almost finished with all the UI features. Got some great feedback from my Discord members as well so that's helped squash a lot of the bugs and fill in gaps for the interface and gameplay. I uploaded a new demo build with the changes 0.7.5.3. As always would love to get feedback or ideas from people on the game so you can always join my Discord or leave a message and let me know! Otherwise I have been making a lot of progress filling in content and improving all the biomes. Really loving how my Lava Biome looks now. I fixed some of the layers and added cool Lava falls in the background. They are animated to flow downward as well in game.

addedAdded an Interact Key (Mapped to E) instead of using the left mouse button for everything. It makes much more sense now
changedWhen you cut down a tree the damage doesn't reset when clicking a different spot on the tree
addedAdded Map Markers so you can mark ore, dungeons or resources
addedAdded a white outline when you hover over an interactable object

As for the fixes/updates in the Demo here is a list:

  • Added an Interact Key (Mapped to E) instead of using the left mouse button for everything. It makes much more sense now

  • When you cut down a tree the damage doesn't reset when clicking a different spot on the tree

  • Added Map Markers so you can mark ore, dungeons or resources

  • Added a white outline when you hover over an interactable object

  • Added a Take All, Sort, NPC Pickup and NPC Dropoff button to Chests. That way you can have NPCs drop off resources to certain chests or only take from certain ones

  • Can Build on Background now

  • Enemies can no longer hit you through doors

  • Added a Respawn Timer

  • Increased general tool Range

  • You can access the full settings menu and adjust resolution settings in game now (Language can only be set in main menu)

  • You can now select doors and mine them when clicking on the right side

  • Fixed an error where you can clip through the ground in certain cases

  • Added Auto open to doors so they open automatically when you walk through them.

  • Added a search bar and "Have Ingredients" option in the crafting menu.

  • Can now hover over status effects to see more details

  • Added a second toolbar you can switch between

  • Other minor issues too numerous to list
