Repeated intro

Hello! Thanks again to everyone who has followed or wishlisted Craterlands. It's been a couple months since the last update and I've got a ton done so I've updated the version to 0.7.5. That being said a lot more things are post-demo content so there will be less updates to the demo going forward. Most of the mechanics are in place now and things are more polished so I'm a lot more happy where the first demo region is at.

changedNow large boulders of every mineral type will spawn underground. You won't be able to break them with your regular pickaxe but instead you can mine them continuously using automatic drills. You'll need to finish the first quest to unlock drills since a Science Lab is required. Outside of the demo wanted to show a few of the bosses I've been working on. First is the deep angler which you can summon in the arctic ocean (You'll probably need the sub to fight it). Steam post image
addedSteam post imageAnother boss you can find is Emberstorm , a large serpent like red dragon. It can be summoned deep below the surface. Steam post imageThere are a few more I really want to show off but they still need a little polishing. There will probably be around 15-16 bosses in the initial game so there will be many to find! Other than that I've been adding some finishing touches to the User Interface and fixing any odds and ends. Here are some miscellaneous but important updates:
changedUpdated tool and options menus for the HUD so they look much more professional now.
changedUpdated game options and key binding menus. These look so much better and more organized now.
addedA few big adjustments to the in-game menus (Crafting, Player etc). Also added a search bar to the Crafting Menu.

There is one awesome thing I wanted to get in the demo though, Ore Boulders and Automatic Drills!

Another addition is the Necrotyrant which can be found in the Necropolis, deep below the ground.

  • A few big adjustments to the in-game menus (Crafting, Player etc). Also added a search bar to the Crafting Menu.

  • Added a Quick Heal key/button to the game. It will use your first healing item it finds.

  • Resprited enemies, chests and craft areas.

  • Updated cave generation so they will be wider and have more branching paths.

  • Fixed some missing translations that were still using English.

  • Fixed a couple other rare crashes as well.

As for the future, feeling great about finally finishing Craterlands. Mostly just polishing what I have and filling in the content where it's needed at this point. I'll be entering in a couple of festivals this summer and fall (PvE Crafting Survival, Fall Next Fest) so really excited to show off what I've created!
