Captain Morgan Ship Customization Set and News Subscription

We added a news subscription form directly into the game. All subscribers will gain access through the shipyard to purchase unique Captain Morgan ship customization elements:

  • sails;

  • heraldry;

  • and a ship hull (brigantine).

When creating Henry Morgan's ship, we based its design not on a specific historical vessel, but on the legacy he left behind in Caribbean history.

The red sails are inspired by the colors of 17th-century European military heraldry, where red symbolized courage, military glory, and victory. The color also reflects Morgan's reputation as a man whose name inspired fear from Portobelo to Panama.

The red-and-gold hull combines two colors traditionally associated with nobility, wealth, and high status. Following his most famous campaigns, Henry Morgan was knighted by King Charles II and became Lieutenant Governor of Jamaica. The ship therefore represents not only the legendary buccaneer, but also Sir Henry Morgan.

The heraldic emblem on the main sail combines several symbols that reflect Morgan's life journey. At its center stands a lion, a traditional symbol of courage, strength, and military valor widely used in English and Welsh heraldry. The red shield represents military achievements and success in battle, while the gold ornamentation symbolizes the wealth and status Morgan attained after his Caribbean expeditions. The crown above the coat of arms recalls his knighthood under King Charles II and his transition from privateer to one of the most influential representatives of English authority in the Caribbean.

The brigantine was chosen as the foundation of the design because its speed and maneuverability best reflect Morgan's style of warfare. Rapid raids, surprise attacks, and bold maneuvers were the key elements behind his most famous victories.

Our goal was to create a legendary interpretation of Henry Morgan's ship that embodies the defining symbols of his life: military glory, wealth, the English Crown, and the reputation of one of the most famous privateers of the 17th century.

Dynamic Fog

One of the most noticeable visual improvements in this update is the new dynamic fog system.

Previously, fog was distributed evenly across the entire environment. We redesigned this system to make fog uneven, dynamic, and more natural. It now slowly drifts through jungles, valleys, and coastal areas, creating a more immersive and atmospheric world.

Crew Hiring

We've added a new crew hiring window that allows you to assign sailors not only to your flagship, but also to ships within your squadron.

We've also improved the display of crew morale and experience, making it easier to evaluate recruits and manage your fleet more effectively.

Expanded Ship Audio System

We've significantly expanded the soundscape of life at sea.

New additions include:

  • boatswain whistles when enemy ships are spotted;

  • ship bells announcing the beginning of a new day;

  • new ambient crew sounds aboard the ship;

  • dynamic ship ambience that changes depending on the situation — sailing, anchored, or engaged in battle;

  • fire and firefighting sounds after successful hits on ships.

As a result, sailing across the Caribbean feels more immersive and alive.

Improved Combination Locks

You can now open notes containing lock combinations directly while solving a combination lock.

The game will also notify you if you have not yet found the document containing the required clue.

This makes treasure hunting and puzzle-solving more convenient, eliminating the need to constantly leave the lock interface to check clues.

Improved Notes and Documents

We've also improved the visibility of notes and documents. They now feature additional highlighting, making them easier to spot while exploring the world.

At the moment, this system is available only on Barbados, but we plan to gradually expand it to other islands in future updates.

Additional Improvements

Alongside the major additions, this update includes numerous fixes and improvements:

  • improved NPC behavior;

  • fixes for navigation and animation issues;

  • synchronization of musicians and ambient music;

  • updated archipelago maps;

  • interface improvements;

  • weather adjustments;

  • quest fixes and various bug fixes.

We regularly receive questions about the future of Corsairs Legacy and our plans for the game's development.

We already have a clear vision for the project's future and a roadmap of features and mechanics that we are currently working toward. Because of this, we're considering dedicating the next development diary to the project's roadmap and sharing our plans for future updates with you.

Would you be interested in seeing such a roadmap?

And one more important question: what would you like to see included in it? This is your opportunity to influence which topics we cover in greater detail when we share our future plans.
