EA Update: Massive Controller and UI fixes

Hello Monster Tamers and Farmers! It has been a few weeks since the last update and a very busy one at that. I wanted to address the concerns over the controller issues in depth.

Along with this, you may notice a change in the UI and scaling for most menus. Since Chronomon is multi-platform, it was absolutely necessary to make sure that any screen from phones -> tablets -> Ultra wide screen monitors etc looked good and scaled properly. This is in preperation with hopefully some upcoming good news... We may be porting to consoles soon! From here on out, I'll be focusing my time on completing the relationships and marriage feature as well as some light Co-op multiplayer. Thanks again everyone for supporting this tiny 1 man studio!

Along with this, you may notice a change in the UI and scaling for most menus. Since Chronomon is multi-platform, it was absolutely necessary to make sure that any screen from phones -> tablets -> Ultra wide screen monitors etc looked good and scaled properly.   • Twist button added to player editor menu

  • Shops now sell all items available in the same day

--- Other Changes ---

  • Energy used during the tutorial is reduced to .25 of the normal amount

  • Daycare monsters spawn in different positions instead of on top of each other

  • Day of year and year now displayed in player info menu

  • Button opacity minimum set for cloud loading (so never completely invisible)

  • Better tablet UI menu sizes and fitting

  • Mountain farm has a chance to spawn ore veins now

  • Starting pupil color set to blue (instead of white to help differentiate)

  • Player head shape changed (nose added)

  • Left settings menu fader removed

  • Map menu zoom levels increased

  • Added confirm build dialog when upgrading a building

  • Placing paths now show ghost path

  • Massive changes to main top menu in scalability to support ultra-wide monitors and tablets

  • Tool-tips moved up a bit more on mobile

  • Clicking calendar button in player info menu now opens the calendar menu (when available)

  • Mobile purchase buttons will now display other currencies converted

  • Improvements to friends menu readability and UI scaling

  • Special channels on tv changed to not show noise screen. Missed channels will play until there are none. Then it will play whatever is on for the day.

  • Battling in live mode now adds to job kills

  • Hatched egg monster no longer spawn with held items

  • Items placed on top of objects now sit better in the middle

  • Sleepy hat modifier increased from 2 -> 4 extra energy per hour slept

  • Mini tree border now shows when planting trees inside

  • Celestial crop always drops its seed and is now not affected by farm skill harvesting ability

  • Trees build inside buildings now have a little border around them

  • Umbra wilds areas added to map menu

  • Improved farm monster AI. Watering, planting, harvest, lumbering and breaking rocks will detect if another monster is currently assigned to it. If the player handles the action, the monster will resume other duties.

  • Mobile fishing pull line button size increased and move further from the edge

  • Inventory will update when open and monster removes or adds an item to it

--- Controller ---

  • Unable to navigate to all buttons in settings menu

  • Back button can now close: top menu, Nickname menu

  • After viewing monster, LT/RT no longer move past the monster menu and opens when in a chest

  • Can open top menu after visiting settings in the start window then starting a new game

  • Various held item give/take errors

  • Many controller navigation issues fixed ~30 changes and fixes

  • Multiple PVP menu and sub menus fixes

  • Moving to main settings buttons uses left instead of back button

  • Build menu sort buttons visibility and build types size decreased to have 5 rows

  • Fixes in map scrolling with rJoy

  • Multiple back buttons changed from select to back (east)

  • Unable to close top menu in certain menus

  • Unable to navigate after clicking time button in sleep menu

  • Map menu navigation simplified when teleporting

  • Sell chest menu auto sell with north button, improvements in controller QOL

  • Unable to close PC tutorial when dialog appears

  • Quest menu now scrolls while you cycle through it

  • Unable to press top menu buttons after accessing piggy bank

  • Move learner house not updating cost when cycling through it. Menu not accepting input after dialog to relearn move.

  • Pressing back button while choosing quantity in build menu closes entire build menu

  • Can't navigate left in mover relearner menu after opening it a 2nd time

--- Bugs ---

  • Collider size fixes for Chillspire build area

  • Raider send back spot in wrong place in raider hideout

  • Some icons appearing upside down

  • Fish grinder giving back the same amount of meat no matter the quantity given

  • Daycare monsters visually duplicating when cloud loading while game is open

  • Visual fixes (sitting on benches sideways, trees, grass etc on wrong layers, empty potion when breaking headstone)

  • Placing paths inside causes soft lock

  • Sprite map tearing inside farm maps

  • Twisting furniture that has no other directions available causes soft lock

  • Hot bar number keys not working after opening tech menu

  • Frost Route fossil spot can't be accessed

  • Palmshore furniture store has duplicate items

  • Levi build menu had no translations

  • Jo-Jo tries to move to the building in progress when spawning back when he shouldn't

  • Some pvp opponent loading issues when choosing a fighter

  • Mill is accepting seeds instead of just the crops

  • Some areas can lead into the void

  • Some areas in map menu connected to wrong area

  • Fixed some black areas in maps when zoomed out all the way or have a super wide device

  • Some map areas displaying more items to find than possible

  • While sitting, if you switch to a tool and try to interact it breaks the object and soft locks

  • Multiple issues when starting a new game when another game had already been open

  • Legacy achievements not counting previously caught monsters for rare, legend and slime hunts

  • Achievement menu displaying wrong achievement when clicked

  • Hatched monsters not showing up as rare or normal

  • Non-breedable monsters able to still breed

  • First opening move selection in battle displays wrong info

  • Monsters names in Chronodex first letter not capitalized

  • Nexus Slither game not resetting properly and hitting invisible objects. Apples spawning on edge walls

  • Nexus Breezeke game pipe hit boxes off. Able to interact before countdown begins

  • Achievements fixed: Monster Mash, Labour Leader, All farm max building levels, Golems, Geologist

  • Player teleport on game open when leaving game on dock at farm

  • Fish battles on dock forcing camera way off screen

  • Mine elevators doors in actual mines not opening or closing on button press

  • Multiple issues regarding the Move Relearner menu

  • Highest mining level not being saved on floor 50

  • Using ladder to reach floor 50 in the mines treats it like an elevator

  • Character can move directly after finishing a build area, causing jitter when jumping

  • Removing item from chest that a monster will plant before they are done issue

  • Timers and monsters not pausing when in menu and setting applied (monsters will finish the current task and then wait)

  • Latest update breaking the move relearner "accept" button

  • Nexus slither game has apples spawning out of bounds

Silent Bugs:

  • Checking achievements after taking held item

  • Navigating with controller in quest menu when there are no quests
