Chronocracy changes
We’re back with more insights into how everything works in Chronocracy, and today’s topic is the real estate market. Without buildings and structures, there’s no progress—so get ready to build a lot.
At the start of the game, you have one main building—the Town Hall, the heart of your city and your headquarters. From here, you can assign construction tasks to your citizens, expand your city’s territory, and create new units. Want to establish a second city, gather more resources, or raise a massive army? It all begins with the Town Hall.
From there, things follow the classic strategy path but with some twists.
Public and Residential Buildings
The name speaks for itself. The most important structure here is the Library. This should be your first priority, since it’s the bastion of knowledge, and knowledge is the foundation for research and discoveries.
Next comes the Residential House. Absolutely essential, because your inhabitants need a place to live. The more houses you build, the more residents you can settle in your city.
The Market is another key building in this category. Nothing revolutionary here; a market is a market, even in Chronocracy. Build it to buy valuable minerals that might not be available near your city.
As your civilization grows stronger and more advanced, your connections with the outside world become more complex. Unfriendly neighbors may raid your settlements, slowing your progress and preparations for the crucial mission against alien invaders. To minimize the risks of neighborly intrusions, build an Embassy and solve conflicts through diplomacy rather than swords.
Production Buildings
This group includes the essential structures for extracting and producing resources — the backbone of your economy.
Farms provide food, the Sawmill produces wood, and the Mine lets you go underground to collect stone and valuable ores. The more of these you build, the faster your resources grow. Of course, you’ll need a place to store them, so don’t forget the Warehouse.
At higher development levels, advanced buildings become available, producing rare resources: the Smelter, Power Plant, Chemical Factory, and even a Collider.
Military Buildings
These are crucial for defending your city and creating an army. In the Barracks, you can equip your inhabitants with melee and ranged weapons to fend off enemy attacks or launch conquest missions of your own. Besides the classic archers and spearmen, you can also train expensive but highly effective specialists: Kamikaze, Explosives Experts, and Chemists, masters of corrosive compounds.
Towers are built to defend your city from enemy forces. When hostile units approach, towers automatically start attacking them.
Don’t forget about special research that can boost your defenses. For example, making enemy units take damage while inside your city’s territory, while your own citizens regenerate health.
And yes, here you can also build a Time Machine that allows you to send your army into the past, change the course of events, and uncover the central mystery of Chronocracy.
Grow your cities, gather resources, build up your army, and choose your way of dealing with neighbors. And remember: a critical mission awaits — to face the alien threat.
