Chronocracy changes
The Chronocracy team is here, and we’re excited to start introducing you to the world of our game — from behind-the-scenes peeks at development to the wild and wonderful stories that bring it all to life.
Let’s begin with the locals — the creatures who call this strange and beautiful land their home. Today’s spotlight: the fauna. Strange, whimsical, and sometimes downright terrifying.
Plumpbirds
Picture this: a living fluffball with stubby wings, a chubby beak, and eyes so huge they seem to reflect all the stars in the universe. That’s a Plumpbirds — easily the most unforgettable inhabitant of Chronocracy’s tropical forests.
But don’t let their cuteness fool you. Plumpbirds are famously temperamental and quick to rage. Step onto their turf — or worse, mess with their eggs — and they’ll launch into an explosive attack. Legend has it they store gas inside their bodies their entire lives, which explains their balloon-like shape… and their tendency to go boom.
There are two kinds:
Wild Plumpbirds — bigger, fiercer, and always ready to throw down.
Domesticated Plumpbirds — slightly more chill and used as as a means of transportation by riders.
Gas-stingray
Now look up. See those enormous shapes drifting across the sky like airborne whales? Those are Gas-stingray — ancient, floating beings that never seem to touch the ground.
They hum and echo with ghostly sounds that might be songs... or warnings... or cosmic gossip no one understands.
No one’s quite sure what they eat — or if they eat at all. Some scholars believe they’ve left the material world behind and feed solely on pure life energy. Alien, majestic and a little creepy.
The Flesh
Next up — the tastiest creature around. Say hello to the Flesh — soft, fragrant, and adored by nearly every culture across the land.
You’ll find them in almost every climate — except the cold (they hate the cold). They come in all kinds of colors, live off plants and bugs, and every now and then... they lay larvae.
The Larvae
Cute? No. Safe? Not even a little.
These little nightmares are pure instinct and hunger — born predators that attack anything that moves. If you’re heading into their territory, don’t go unarmed. You’ll need a sword. Or ten.
Tell us in the comments which creature captured your heart (or gave you goosebumps). And don’t forget to:
