CHAT CHAMPIONS changes
The first post-launch update is here! First off, thank you to all of the streamers who have given the game a chance thus far. That means a lot to me! I can't wait to continue implementing some of the fun additions I have in mind.
The main focus of this patch is shoring up some issues/bugs which became apparent as the game got into more people's hands. But there's some goodies packed in here, too! Read on.
UI
added an option to display chat commands on the side of the screen
added options to move in-game messages to top left and top right screen positions
spruced up the Battle Mod sidebar pop-ups
Leaderboards
added a Daily Leaderboard, which tracks local stats for your channel and resets at midnight UTC
spruced up some visual elements
Cosmetics
added 3 new skins for each weapon (bringing us up to 10 unique skins for each weapon!)
added 10 new hats
added 2 new player skins
Combat
players can now earn Double, Triple, Quadra, Penta, and Ultra kill streaks for getting consecutive kills in rapid succession, each providing a gold reward (Notifications for these can be toggled in the Settings menu.)
changed how scoreboard points are calculated, which affects end-game standings and gold rewards
teams now spawn on opposite sides of the map in Teamfight mode (as opposed to all jumbled up)
added Headhunter upgrade (deal 50% more damage to your !target)
Chat Commands
added !whois [name] command which returns a player's leaderboard information
added !whatis [item] and !price [item], which both return an item's proper name and gold value
Other
added rare Treasure Chests which can be opened during battle by typing !unlock -- but you'll be vulnerable while doing so!
Bug Fixes
fixed an issue with some input fields where using the Shift or Caps Lock key might cause 'ghost' inputs to be registered, causing the input to not be read properly
fixed an issue where menu settings toggles would revert
fixed an issue where deleting a single and lone custom chat command would not save
fixed a UI issue where a menu navigation button and menu item could be selected at the same time, leading to errant selections when the left mouse button was pressed
fixed an issue where in Slay the Streamer mode, the MVP would be set to 0
fixed a queue-related crash
fixed Twitch user subscription recognition
fixed an issue where a couple upgrade settings were not saving/loading correctly
fixed an issue where resetting some options to their default would not save/allow the player to save
stopped the join timer from advancing while the game was paused
fixed an issue where players could join a battle even though it was full
fixed an issue where bots would auto populate a battle even though it was full
fixed an issue where more bots would spawn than the maximum number of players allowed
