CHAT CHAMPIONS changes
3.5 has a ton packed in! All-new Battle Mods, Upgrade additions and toggles, bug fixes, UI and game option additions, along with delicious, nutritious fruit!
This is also the debut of the web-based channel leaderboard and global weapon stats page! Of course, this information is also available in-game within the Leaderboards, but hopefully these web-based statistics add a bit more usability and accessibility.
Bug Fixes
fixed Steam Cloud Saves being broken
fixed an oversight where Martyrdom created a large explosion instead of a small one as intended
fixed an issue where emotes weren't aligned properly when in-game messages were set to appear on the righthand side
stopped gravity from dealing damage to players before the round began
fixed a bug where Twitch chat was incorrectly notifying players they had made the correct bet in the Scorched Wings mini-game
fixed a bug where the global Channel Leaderboards post-round module would display undefined values
fixed an issue where the Devilish Pact upgrade would reduce players' max health totals more than once
fixed a Splinterlust upgrade crash issue
re-adjusted the way points are calculated in Slay the Streamer mode to work as intended
UI
added ability to click a statistic entry to shout it out in chat
added Most Level-Ups section to global channel leaderboards
changed how Upgrades were spaced to dynamically account for different resolutions/screen sizes
added some more unique Upgrade icons
added Upgrade toggles to the battle mode edit menu
added Generation Settings to the battle mode edit menu
Generation settings allow you to control the density of creature, crate, fruit, and mine spawns.
added option to reset your stats/player data from the Settings menu
Combat
added Fruit
Fruit spawns randomly (or is placed in Arena) and heals players fully when picked up. It can also periodically be found in marked crates.
changed how max health is calculated (base health+[base health*(lvl*.01)]) so it scales with base health settings
Sword attack cooldown increased (25 -> 30)
The Sword is slightly overperforming compared to other weapons, so this change is intended to lower its damage output over time without drastically affecting its identity or utility.
added Respawns
As an option, Respawns have been added to the game. You can toggle Respawns as well as tweak the number of lives and respawn delay timer from the battle mode edit menu.
Upgrades
added Parting Gift (drop fruit when you die)
added Fruit Dealer (+50 Gold when someone eats fruit)
added Sugar Rush (gain a temporary speed boost after eating fruit)
added Gravity Grove (fruit gravitates towards you)
added Juiced (+X% damage after eating fruit)
added Wither Aura (fruit rots in your vicinity)
Rotten fruit deals 15 damage to players who eat it.
added Vitamimpact (guaranteed crit after eating fruit)
added Fatal Flow (guaranteed crit after earning a kill)
added Collateral Damage (guaranteed crit after destroying a crate)
added Primal Precision (guaranteed crit after killing an animal)
added Scorchstrike (+X% crit chance while on fire)
Venomous Blood max damage % reduced (8% -> 6%)
made Martyrdom an Epic rarity Upgrade (was previously Rare)
For how impactful it is, Martyrdom was showing up too frequently. The change to Epic rarity will ensure it isn't as present.
