addedThis month, I completed nearly all of the art assets for Lycurgus's storyline. The remaining art assets for the entire game include approximately 20 character designs, 10 unit combat animations, as well as UI designs for some new systems and UI refinements for existing ones. It's safe to say that the game's artwork is now 90% complete.
changedAs a result, I'm now able to make a fairly accurate estimate of the remaining workload. I expect the game to be largely finished by early August, followed by one month dedicated to bug fixes and localization (a few friends from the community will help proofread or re-translate the text in their native languages). This means Chaos Front should be ready for its official release in September. As you may have already noticed, the store page now shows a release date of September 2026.
changedIn the game, a small number of units have a chance to strike a vital point on the enemy during combat. If the enemy's remaining HP is below 1,000, they may be instantly eliminated. This is the "Instakill" ability.
changedAdditionally, some characters possess the Assassin talent — the higher the level of this talent, the greater the chance of landing an Instakill. Certain Corp traditions can also boost the Instakill success rate. Try raising your Instakill rate through various means and build a fearsome assassin gang!

This month, let me introduce the Instakill mechanic in Chaos Front.

In the game, a small number of units have a chance to strike a vital point on the enemy during combat. If the enemy's remaining HP is below 1,000, they may be instantly eliminated. This is the "Instakill" ability.

Additionally, some characters possess the Assassin talent — the higher the level of this talent, the greater the chance of landing an Instakill. Certain Corp traditions can also boost the Instakill success rate. Try raising your Instakill rate through various means and build a fearsome assassin gang!

See you in next month's development log.
