changedCommunity members! We have been working hard to get more content out for the next DLC, as usual. In this blog, you’ll see some development images of the “other” update we’re working on. Besides that, we’re about to launch an Open Beta for the next game version, which is a follow- up to the “Vaulting” update.
addedGame updateIn our last update, we introduced automated vaulting for the first time. While this was groundbreaking by itself, it caused some negative effects on units that are supposed to remain stealthy. This obviously required a fix. We have now updated the vaulting mechanic to ensure that when your units are prone or crawling, they will now path around vault-able objects instead of vaulting over them.
addedGame updateFor Conquest, we have added an option that can be used when you play in co-op. The host of a Co-op Conquest mission can now spawn and transfer all the units in call- in stage to another player of his choice by clicking on the "i" of the specific call- in stage. This should save the host having to manually transfer units one at a time to fellow players.
addedGame updateThe selected player now has full control over the call- in stage
changedGame updateWe have also optimized resupply zones (supply trucks and crates) so they do not cause a reduction in performance when units are inside those resupply zones.
removedNote for ModdersThis update alters the pather.set, obstacle.reg for vaulting to be disabled while crawling. Be sure to compare and update these files if you have them in your mods.

What’s next?

What if we told you that we’re working on something quite special? What if we told you we are convinced that the next game update will cause some nostalgia to be felt? We’re preparing something extra for everyone, and especially if you have played Gates of Hell from the very first day, you will be able to appreciate what’s going on here.

Can you guess what this is for? It’s not for the next DLC, that much we will say. All is to be revealed very soon when we unveil the roadmap for the remainder of the year 2026.

Game update

In our last update, we introduced automated vaulting for the first time. While this was groundbreaking by itself, it caused some negative effects on units that are supposed to remain stealthy. This obviously required a fix. We have now updated the vaulting mechanic to ensure that when your units are prone or crawling, they will now path around vault-able objects instead of vaulting over them.

Another change that was requested by the community is the addition of "per shell" penetration and max range stats to the info tab of the MP buy menu. These changes also apply to Conquest and the Library viewer.

Per shell data for vehicle guns in both the MP unit info page and the Conquest /Library viewer

For Conquest, we have added an option that can be used when you play in co-op. The host of a Co-op Conquest mission can now spawn and transfer all the units in call- in stage to another player of his choice by clicking on the "i" of the specific call- in stage. This should save the host having to manually transfer units one at a time to fellow players.

The selected player now has full control over the call- in stage

We have also optimized resupply zones (supply trucks and crates) so they do not cause a reduction in performance when units are inside those resupply zones.

Besides this, the list of (roughly 25) changes and fixes is available in the form of a Changelog, as usual.

Note for Modders

This update alters the pather.set, obstacle.reg for vaulting to be disabled while crawling. Be sure to compare and update these files if you have them in your mods.

Roadmap

We will be updating our roadmap very soon. We will probably do so when we are ready to reveal the next DLC. We’re currently working flat-out on its content and as soon as we are ready, we will share it with you immediately.

Opting in for the Open Beta

To join the beta, you only need to switch your game to the beta version. When the beta becomes the live version, you don’t need to do anything at all to reverse the process.

If you want to be among the first to try these changes, go to your Steam library, right-click on the game, select properties - Game Versions & Betas- open beta. Done! You can switch back to the current
