We are actively working on fixing crashes, black screen issues, and critical errors that occur when loading saves. We’re also addressing major performance drops, particularly in demanding areas like Alaborg and during the Koschei boss fight. These are our top priorities.

Hi everyone,

My name is Alexey Ilyukhin, CEO of Far Far Games.

Thank you to everyone in our community, those who have followed development from the beginning, those who joined recently, those who have already bought the game, and those who are still deciding. And of course, a big thank you to everyone who took the time to review the game, whether it was a positive or a negative review. We are reading them all, and by we, I mean the entire team, myself included.

Everything that you’ve written in your feedback matters to us, not just as a source of encouragement, but as a way for us to understand what needs improving, fixing, and tweaking, so that the game works as we intended it to. So please, keep sharing your thoughts with us!

What’s important for you to know is that we’re not just reading - we’re also working. I’ll get into the specifics in a moment, but first I want to explain what Bylina means to us.

This is our first game, not just for me, but for us as a team. It has been a long process, with many (many) iterations, mistakes, and improvements along the way, but we’ve always stuck with it. Looking back at everything, a huge amount of time, effort, and energy has gone into this…and this is exactly why the release is not the end for us. After putting so much into Bylina, we simply cannot leave it as it is. We will be continuing to work on the game with the same focus as we did before the launch.

So now, let me tell you what we’re doing right now, and what you can expect from us going forward.

First and foremost, our current focus is on stability and performance. We have already released update #2 that addresses the most urgent issues, but we know we have more work to do. We are actively working on fixing crashes, black screen issues, and critical errors that occur when loading saves. We’re also addressing major performance drops, particularly in demanding areas like Alaborg and during the Koschei boss fight. These are our top priorities.

Next, we’re tackling progression and save blockers. We understand how frustrating it is to encounter broken quests, corrupted saves, and issues that generally prevent you from continuing your journey. Making sure that you can all progress smoothly through the game is vital, and we are working to figure out these issues and fix them as soon as possible.

We’re also continuing to refine the combat system, AI, and core mechanics. This includes improving enemy behaviour (this is what we meant by AI), making sure that abilities and buffs function correctly, and making sure that the core combat systems work properly.

Another important area is the interface, controls, and settings. We are working on the UI issues, especially on non-standard and higher resolutions (2K, 4K ultrawide, etc), as well as the many problems that have been reported to us related to the graphics settings.

Finally, we are also working on big improvements to the geometry, collisions, and fixing the visible world defects. We’ve read through too many situations where players have gotten stuck, and we know that we need to fix this quickly.

Please know, this is not going to be a short-term thing, as we wrote earlier on, we’re staying focused on Bylina for the long term, and we’ll be working on it step by step, update by update. Some fixes will come quickly, while others may take a bit more time, but
