Boom Die Repeat changes
⚙️ We Heard You. We Got to Work.
After the first squad of survivors tore through v0.2.0, I went dark. Not gone - just buried. Every piece of feedback became a commit. Every bug report became a late night. The result is v0.3.0, and it's a sharper, more polished experience from top to bottom.
If v0.2.0 was "does this work," v0.3.0 is "does this feel right." The answer is yes.
⠀
💀 The Enemies Hit Different
The mutants got a serious upgrade this patch. Smarter behavior, more variety, and no more moments that break your flow.
Scramblers now come in 3 distinct types to keep you on your toes
Enemy movement and reactions are noticeably smoother and more responsive
Dashing enemies run tighter and are more threatening - they mean business now
Self-inflicted effects like freeze, electrocute, and explode now have cooldowns so the chaos stays fun rather than overwhelming
⠀
🩸 Combat Feels Like Combat Now
This was the polish pass that actually matters. Every hit - landing and taking - now has weight behind it.
Blood spurts and blood on the ground when you take damage
Enemies flash bright white on a clean hit so you always know you connected
Enemy death animations are 2x faster - the feedback is instant
Hit sounds are loud and distinct when enemies connect on you
Dodge kicks up dust
Biohazard now reflects melee damage back at enemies - get in close and make them regret it
⠀
🎬 The World Got a Facelift
Cinematic flyby of the level plays during the countdown - sets the tone before the chaos starts
Camera now follows your crosshair for tighter aiming control
4 camera modes to cycle through - find your preferred angle
Level details are now randomized even more, in placement and rotation
Graphics quality level can now be toggled during gameplay
⠀
⚡ Performance & Stability
Levels load faster and more reliably
Visuals are sharper across the board, especially on higher settings
The game world renders more cleanly at a distance
Upgrade selection panel now pauses briefly before showing buttons - no more accidental picks
Various stability improvements across enemy spawning, resource pickups, and level geometry
⠀
📢 Now - We Need YOU
The closed circle served its purpose. It's time to expand the perimeter.
I'm looking for the next wave of survivors. If you want in, reach out - drop a comment, send a message, whatever works. I'll get a key in your hands.
The wastelands are waiting.
