The big one: your ancestors now answer for their reigns — and they have faces.

✨ New

  • The Skein paints your dead. Every heir's face is now recorded the day they pass — open the Skein and see the actual portrait of every hand your line has known, all the way back to the founder. The family record finally looks like a family.

  • Every reign gets a reckoning."A formidable hand" never told you why. Now each ancestor's card carries their defining marks —"made enemies of every hall · carried the dream within reach"— drawn from eight counts the game has always kept: the coffers, the name, the houses, the dark years, the blood, the dream, the customs, the talk. Right-click any ancestor (on the Skein or the Timeline) for the full eight-count reading.

  • Betrothals are binding now. When an event pledges your line to a house, matchmaking honors it: the pledge hangs over the hall, the promised house sends a marked candidate, and spurning them costs you — a grudge, a stained name, a house that does not forget.

  • Houses show their hand. A house's page now shows how close its ambition is to ripening, and when you're reading your blood-enemy's page, the feud's heat is part of the record.

  • Your lifetime, tallied. Past Lineages now closes with your reckoning across all accounts — generations lived, events resolved, longest line — and a right-click opens the full ledger: every crucible, every heir born and lost, every chronicle sent.

🛠️ Fixed

  • Fairer ratings, retroactive justice. A scoring flaw since v1 quietly punished every heir who simply left the customs alone — on the heaviest-weighted count in the rating. Quiet reigns now earn what they earned; expect more honest "exalted" hands.

  • You can no longer resume a bloodline whose save is gone and land in a broken, half-loaded hub.

  • Reading your chronicle in-game now keeps the shareable link — COPY SHARE LINK lives right in the reader, fresh from the Soul Teller or re-opened years later.

  • Quitting at a succession is safe — the open choice is saved the moment you arrive, ESC backs out, and CONTINUE returns you to the same crossroads.

  • An empty chronicle now says so in the Soul Teller's voice instead of showing a blank book; a slow binding admits it's slow; and a right-click on any record always answers, even when the page is illegible.

  • Portraits could render blank inside scrolling lists — fixed.

The line remembers. Now you can read what it remembers.
