Bloodweight changes
Big one this time: the Soul Teller finally steps into the game.
✨ New
Read your chronicle right in the game. When a bloodline ends and you send it to the Soul Teller, you no longer have to hop to the website — the finished, written-out chronicle of your whole dynasty opens in-app, drop caps and all, and it's saved with the run so you can re-read it anytime. (The web gallery still works exactly like before.)
The manual is actually good now. The Soul Teller sits you down and walks you through it: what you're actually doing each generation (in plain words), a clear step-by-step of the loop, and a glossary that explains every weird word — Weight, Witan, Troth, all of it. And you can pull it up mid-run from the pause menu, not just the title.
A friendlier first hour. Your very first heir gets a proper hello from the Soul Teller — by name — pointing you at what to do first. New players shouldn't feel lost anymore.
The world repeats itself less. New variety system so you stop getting hit with the exact same event back-to-back.
Rival houses mean something. Fewer of them on screen, but each one's named and actually matters — when a house moves against you, you'll know which one and why.
🛠️ Fixed
The quill cursor was vanishing / doubling up with your system arrow — it's solid now, drawn properly, no more disappearing.
The game was showing the LÖVE2D heart icon instead of the Bloodweight mark — fixed.
The BACK button in the in-game chronicle was dead — works now.
An heir's earned legend/nickname was bleeding onto every heir after them — fixed.
You could accidentally send an unfinished run to the Soul Teller — now it waits until the line actually ends.
The "…writing your chronicle" wait now animates instead of looking frozen, and it holds your hand to the READ button so you don't miss it.
A pile of little manual + text cleanups.
Go start a line. See how far the blood carries.
