Blockscape changes
Hi!
Highlights in this update:
Projectiles
You can now equip the stone shape. Soft materials will stick to the surface on impact and hard materials will destroy terrain on impact. All materials will hurt mobs and the damage is based on the material hardness. Throwing rocks in water creates a little water splash ːsteamhappyː I will add more projectile weapons later on.
Optimizations
Increased rendering and world loading performance. Reduced memorty usage.
Improved visuals
Many improvements to texture and normal maps and shaders.
Full list of changes:
Fixed Glass/Salt specular from spotlight.
Fixed blood on snow.
Balcony doors are now locked from outside
Added initial projectile logic.
Rock shape can now be equipped and thrown.
Added water splash when projectile hits water
Fixed piviot position for equipped rock
Better throw animation
Loose materials now stick to corner if any neighbor is block type or other material.
Fixed sound calculation based on material hardness on projectile impact.
Fixed some issues with bomb throwing.
Increased speed of fox and horse so that you have to hunt them with projectiles.
Added world loading visualization.
Fixed scattered cube types and plant collisions
Improved normal mapping
Fixed surface missing surface extensions
More rocks on beaches
Fixed distant texture for Sandstone bricks
You can now find entire cliffs made of limestone in summer and spring biomes.
Added fences to houses
Nicer castle roofs with spires
Painted houses is now a bit more rare.
House Lot sizes are now a bit more random
Rendering optimizations
World generation optimizations
