Bad Boro changes
0.0994 - 5/22/23
Updated player and enemy hitboxes! Before this patch hitboxes outlined the majority of a character. However, considering the perspective of the game it created awkward situations where you could, for example, punch enemies’ toes to damage them. With this patch hitboxes have been greatly reduced in size, and for enemies they are now placed more or less at Tino’s punching height. Considering Tino’s fists still have huge hitboxes, this change should be subtle but you will definitely notice that positioning matters more.
Some of these hitboxes react to specific character movements. For example when Tino is crouching, his hit hitbox now reflects that and is lowered. When enemies use lunging attacks their hitboxes follow them as they jump. Going forward I’ll be updating these to be even more accurate.
Phonebooth update! - You can now fast travel between telephone booths (for a nominal fee of 25 quartrs).
The phonebooth menu has been redesigned to match NPC dialogue options. All phonebooths will now be ringing the first time you encounter them, making it easier to locate savepoints. The ability to make phone calls will be coming in a future patch probably.
Updated the text on tutorial notes and scattered them accross the map.
Added a couple of tutorial notes that appear in the notes section of your inventory.
Updated the controls tutorial at the game start to be clearer.
Updated many NPC dialogues. Some existing dialogue lines have been gated behind special in-game triggers.
Various balance changes and bug fixes.
