Astrosphere changes
Update v0.40 expands the object list and short-range sensor with new blueprint, scan, and action features. Blueprint drops have also been stabilized, the number of timed civilian ship spawns has been capped, and all ship system graphics have been unified.
New
Blueprints are now displayed in the object list of the objects UI window.
The object list now supports direct attack and scan actions for suitable targets.
A new icon button allows scanning an object directly from the object list.
The short-range sensor window can now be opened manually at any time via its own button.
Changes
The rarity of a blueprint in the short-range sensor is now shown using the existing localized UI labels instead of the English internal enum name.
Timed civilian ship spawns are now capped sector-wide at a maximum of twelve ships. The limit applies jointly to all active spawners.
Destroyed or despawned civilian ships automatically free up their slot in the sector-wide limit.
Graphics
All ship system sprites have been reworked and brought into a unified visual design.
UI / UX
Action icons of an entry in the object list are only shown when the corresponding action is available for the target.
The spaceship warning icon in the home sector now has a localized tooltip.
Blueprint entries in the short-range scanner list now have their own tooltip.
Improvements
Blueprint drops are now selected reliably by their source ID and no longer depend on the regularly reset Unity random seed.
As a result, all 800 blueprint templates can now be selected reliably as a drop.
The sector-wide limit for civilian ships is fully compatible with existing save data.
Already generated blueprint entries remain unchanged. The new selection process only applies to future blueprint drops.
