We’re excited to share a major update to the Ashes of Morgravia demo, and it’s a big one. Your feedback has helped us shape this version into a more cohesive and satisfying experience. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Phase Fusion - One Flow, Two Decks
The most impactful change: we’ve fused the Stride and Clash phases into one continuous flow. Don’t worry - the two-deck system remains. But now, you can customize the ratio of Stride to Clash cards drawn each turn, giving you more control while maintaining the tactical depth. This change massively improves pacing and onboarding without sacrificing strategy.
Real-Time Card Calculations
All cards now display their real-time calculated values in your hand, factoring in all active buffs and debuffs. No more guesswork - you’ll know exactly how hard you’re hitting (or blocking) as you plan your next move. This improves the clarity and rhythm of each turn.
Card & Item Balance Pass
With the new system in place, we’ve rebalanced the majority of cards and equipment to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience across builds. Expect tighter synergy, smoother scaling, and more viable paths through the Desolation.
✨ Quality of Life & Feedback
Save support added: your game now saves each time you enter or exit the Sanctum.
New visual feedback for damage taken and healing received, making each moment on the battlefield more impactful.
You can now sell your unused items, making inventory management more meaningful and rewarding.
And, of course, various bug fixes and improvements across the board.
This update is another step toward shaping Ashes of Morgravia into the deep, dark tactical experience we envision - and we’re just getting started.
Thank you for playing the demo. Your feedback is everything.
🕯️ Stay sharp, and never surrender to the Well.
