Today is an Update, but before going into the meat and potatoes of the subject, we have some information to share:

  • After contacting Valve, we learned that we can no longer create and sell 4 Packs on Steam.

  • The Group Finder feature has been delayed by a week due to a technical issue.

Now for the good news! In the Multiverse, you will find two new threats to contend with:

Inquisitor - Set 2

When exploring the Multiverse, there is no guarantee that you will find yourself in the exact same location.

While familiar, this Inquisitor comes from a different timeline and has new tricks up its sleeve:

  • Lightning Storm

    Apply Lightning Rod to a non-protector player.

    Lightning Rod: Lasts for 4 seconds; it deals 3000 damage to all Incarnates within 8 meters when it expires.

  • Acid Bomb

    Launch a bolt that deals 500 damage and apply an Acid Bomb to the Protector.

    Acid Bomb: Lasts for 8 seconds; when it expires, it deals 12 000 damage split between all Incarnates within 5 meters.

  • Eggs

    Creates an Egg with 5000 health at a random location.

    Egg: After 15 seconds, the Egg is destroyed, and a Commander spawns.

    Eliminating the Egg deals 500 damage to all Incarnates and Bosses.

  • Toxic Corals

    Creates a 6-meter area that lasts for 3 seconds. When it expires, it forms a 6-meter area that deals 240 000 damage over 120 seconds.

  • Drowning Shadows

    Afflicts a random non-Protector with Foreshadowing and Glimpse of Hope.

    Foreshadowing: Lasts for 8 seconds; when it expires, it creates an 80-meter area (Arena wide) that deals 12 000 damage over 4 seconds.

    Glimpse of Hope: Lasts for 4 seconds; when it expires, it forms a 4-meter area that reduces damage taken by 100 % for 13 seconds.

The Heralds

In this fight you will be facing, not one, not two, but three enemies simultaneously.

Every time you kill a Herald, the remaining Heralds are fully healed and empowered with new abilities.

The abilities you will encounter here are:

  • Herald of Storms

    • Weakening Ritual

      Creates a 3-meter zone for 3 seconds at the Protector's location. When the zone expires, it deals 2500 damage to the Incarnates in it and applies Weakness.

      If there are no Incarnates located in this zone, it deals 2000 damage to all Incarnates.

      Weakness: Increase damage taken by 50 % for 25 seconds.

    • Lightning Storm

      Apply Lightning Rod to a non-protector player.

      Lightning Rod: Lasts for 4 seconds; it deals 3000 damage to all Incarnates within 8 meters when it expires.

    • Drowning Shadows

      Afflicts a random non-Protector with Foreshadowing and Glimpse of Hope.

      Foreshadowing: Lasts for 8 seconds; when it expires, it creates an 80-meter area (Arena wide) that deals 12 000 damage over 4 seconds.

      Glimpse of Hope: Lasts for 4 seconds; when it expires, it forms a 4-meter area that reduces damage taken by 100 % for 13 seconds.

  • Herald of Toxins

    • Acid Bomb

      Launch a bolt that deals 500 damage and apply an Acid Bomb to the Protector.

      Acid Bomb: Lasts for 8 seconds; when it expires, it deals 12 000 damage split between all Incarnates within 5 meters.

    • Acid Rain

      Creates a 4-meter area for 3 seconds at all Incarnates' locations. When it expires, it deals 3000 damage to all Incarnates standing in the area.

    • Bubbling Acid

      Launch a projectile that applies Bubbling Acid to a random non-Protector.

      Bubbling Acid: Deals 500 damage over 10 seconds. If it deals damage while you're moving, it also deals 500 damage to all Incarnates.

  • Herald of Waves

    • Curse of Servitude

      Every basic attack will apply Curse of Servitude.

      Curse of Servitude: Increases damage taken by 4% and grants the Submit ability.

      Submit ("Shift + LMB"): Remove all Curses of Servitude and deals 1000 damage to all Incarnates.

    • Cursed Water

      Creates a 6-meter area that lasts for 3 seconds. When it expires, it forms a 6-meter area that deals 240 000 damage over 120 seconds.

    • Eggs

      Creates an Egg with 5000 health at a random location.

      Egg: After 15 seconds, the Egg is destroyed, and a Commander spawns.

      Eliminating the Egg deals 500 damage to all Incarnates and Bosses.

Changelog

Player Abilities

  • BloodlettingDamage over time reduced from 200 to 40.
  • Cursed StrikeVisual Effects has been changed to look less like an enemy area.
  • Frenzy: Fix an issue that prevents the player from using it more than once.

  • Echoes of Light: Visual Effects should properly despawn when used.

Boss Abilities

  • Bubbling Acid: Will no longer incorrectly target the Protector.

  • Eggs: Should now properly deal damage to enemies when destroyed.

  • Acid Bomb: Visual Effects should now be properly timed with the detonation.

  • Coral Burst: Sound Effects should now be properly timed.

General

  • Player HubFixed several graphical issues (thanks to RedDot for reporting them).
  • UIImproved icons to properly stack when relevant.
