Asbury Pines changes
Heya Pinies,
Our focus remains on QoL/bug patches to refine the current game experience, but we're going to implement helpful features along the way. As always, thanks for the thoughtful feedback! The war against typos continues.
This patch includes substantive bug fixes, QoL enhancements, and a new feature.
(Spoiler Warning: patch notes may contain details of the game not yet experienced by players.)
Feature
Players can now select "Idle All" at the top of tabs for People, Plants, and Animals respectively, which clears all of their activities. This allows players to:
Easily stop and reset their production loops (especially when a Time Paradox occurs)
"Pause" the automation of the game if it feels too fast/overwhelming
Note: from a game pacing standpoint, this feature is not a replacement for requests asking for an option to disable offline progression, which will be added in a future patch!
Major Improvement
"Live Life" buttons on the People tab now disappear when a character is unable to progress to a new a story on their personal timeline. The button reappears when a new story becomes available. This update removes a lot of clutter/noise when trying to locate the characters who can progress their lives to a new story (Herring Gull!).
"Live Life" buttons on the People tab will be noticeably faded/dulled when a character is able to progress to a new a story but lacks the resources to do so:
"Blocked" descriptions on the People tab now clearly indicate the action that is being halted
Improvements
White font/display issue in story #036 is fixed
Community events X056-X066 are now sorted numerically on the Community tab, eliminating confusion to their order
For closing a game, the button reads "Quit" when no game is loaded, and reads "Save & Quit" when a game is loaded
Character Skills listed in character portraits are reordered so that they match the order that their relevant areas in the tab selection panel (i.e., Scavenging skill is now listed after "Life/Living" skill to match that Scavenging Zones are the first of the resource areas to be listed)
Closing the game via the "Red X" or "X" in the windowed version of the game will now also save the game
Clarified appearance of Department of Defense seal in Alvin Van Eisen stories #023 and #058
Bugs
Stone production tooltips now display accurately across all eras in the Production Flow tab
Ideas production tooltips now display accurately across all eras in the Production Flow tab
Knowledge production tooltips now display accurately across all eras in the Production Flow tab
"In the patches we are found, sayeth Quentin P. Brown."
Thanks for your support!
