  • Performance
changedToday I wanted to answer a few recurring questions about Arms of God performance on Steam Deck .
changedEven though the game is not 'officially' Steam Deck Verified yet, it has already been running very well on the device for a long time. Before starting my own studio, I spent many years working as a Technical Artist in other game studios, mostly focusing on game optimization, so there was no way I was going to half-ass it in my own project. I hope you’ll be happy with the results.
changedBelow are a few technical tips to get the best performance on Steam Deck:
changedWith these settings, the game should run at a stable ~60 FPS most of the time. If the arena becomes extremely crowded with enemies, you may experience temporary drops to around 40 FPS.
changedThere’s also an option to lower the Resolution Scale for players who want even smoother performance.

Below are a few technical tips to get the best performance on Steam Deck:

Most optimal settings:

  • Quality: Low

  • Antialiasing Method: Low

With these settings, the game should run at a stable ~60 FPS most of the time. If the arena becomes extremely crowded with enemies, you may experience temporary drops to around 40 FPS.

There’s also an option to lower the Resolution Scale for players who want even smoother performance.

If you have any questions about Steam Deck or other handheld consoles, feel free to leave a comment below - I’ll be monitoring this post. I’m also available on Discord as always.
