Apocalypse: 2.0 Edition changes
Hotfix 2 focuses on behind-the-scenes work to improve workflow, but also some large changes requested in the forum and a few other major changes too. Including Saving Reliability, Inventory after Death Fixes, Improved Lighting, Removed Tints, Ammo Corrections, and Much More! I've also fixed starting up issues, improved Performance Mode, and there's a bunch of quality-of-life changes too. There's also heaps of other bug-fixes and features I've added from the community discussion. See the changelog below:
Major Bug Fixes
CTD issue has been fixed - Saving / Loading is now much more reliable - Being killed no longer clears your base inventory - Ammo for picked up weapons has been corrected - Several technical issues have been resolved - Starting up game is now much more reliable - Time slows down when looting containers (60%) - Pickup 'x' is removed if started with 'x' equipped
Performance Mode Fixes
'Glowing textures' in various locations is now fixed - Night maps now correctly block light as expected - Image Effects match the 'HD Mode' much better - Volumetric Fog has been improved slightly
Visual Changes
Main Menu visuals have been updated - Crates / boxes no longer appear black - Lighting is now unified across all maps - Fog and Effects are now unified across all maps - Blue and Orange tint has been removed from all maps - School night windows have been blocked off
Misc Changes
General workflow is now much more efficient - Engine has been upgraded to 4.25.1 (latest) - Renderer is chosen automatically (instead of DX11)
Save Compatibility
Due to significate changes old saves are no longer compatible* *this fixes all CTD issues and unfortunately there's no workaround
