addedAfter months of hard work, nerves, and a lot of excitement, we are thrilled to announce that Animas: Prólogo is now available on Steam to download, completely free. It's been an incredible journey to get here, and we can't wait for you to finally step inside the Blanco family home.
addedA Huge Thank You to the CommunityWe want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped us get here. The launch was possible thanks to the incredible feedback we received during the recent playtest, where nearly 900 players tested the initial builds and helped us hunt down bugs. Thanks to that push, our Discord community grew by over 150 new members! Thank you so much for believing in this project.
addedLooking Ahead: The Prologue's RoadmapUX and Options Improvements: We're going to add more options to the menu (mouse sensitivity, graphics settings, etc.) so you can fine-tune the experience to your liking.
changedLooking Ahead: The Prologue's RoadmapFull Controller Support: You can currently play with a controller, but we know the menus are very difficult to navigate without a mouse. We're working on making support total and seamless.
addedLooking Ahead: The Prologue's RoadmapUI Redesign: The current UI is a placeholder (and yes, we know it's ugly). We are already working on a completely new, clean, and polished design.
changedLooking Ahead: The Prologue's RoadmapSound Design: We're missing some key sounds, others we want to change, and overall, we'll be doing another pass on the entire audio mix to make the atmosphere even more oppressive.

What is Animas Prologue?

If you've just discovered us, welcome! We are developing “Animas,” our next full game: a first-person psychological horror title focused on exploration and environmental narrative, heavily inspired by Venezuelan folklore.

Animas Prologue is the free demo we've released so you can try out this experience. In this prologue, you must explore an abandoned house in the Venezuelan mountains to uncover a tragic family history.

It's important to note that Animas Prologue is a short, standalone story. What you play here serves as an introduction to the game's universe, but it will not be part of the main story of the full game.

A Huge Thank You to the Community

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped us get here. Looking Ahead: The Prologue's Roadmap

This launch isn't the end for the Prologue. We see it as a living thing, and thanks to all that feedback, we already have a clear roadmap to keep polishing it in the coming months.

We're a small team, but we're committed to making this experience the best it can be. Here's what's coming:

  • UX and Options Improvements: We're going to add more options to the menu (mouse sensitivity, graphics settings, etc.) so you can fine-tune the experience to your liking.

  • Full Controller Support: You can currently play with a controller, but we know the menus are very difficult to navigate without a mouse. We're working on making support total and seamless.

  • UI RedesignThe current UI is a placeholder (and yes, we know it's ugly). We are already working on a completely new, clean, and polished design.
  • Sound Design: We're missing some key sounds, others we want to change, and overall, we'll be doing another pass on the entire audio mix to make the atmosphere even more oppressive.

  • Visual Polish: There are several placeholder assets and low-quality textures that we'll be replacing little by little to unify the entire visual style to the level we want.

  • New Interactables: We want to add more objects to investigate, like photographs or additional notes that provide more context (aside from the main story).

  • Optimization (Important!): We've received reports of serious crashes in some areas. While it doesn't seem to be a widespread issue, it's our #1 priority to identify the cause and fix it as soon as possible.

  • Localization (Translations): We intend to translate the subtitles into as many languages as we can. We'll prioritize the ones most requested by the community, so let us know which ones you want! (The voice-over will always remain in Spanish).
