addedToday we're proud to release Spellcraf, the new major free update for Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms, officially bringing the game to version 2.0 . This is one of the largest updates we've ever developed in terms of systems, balancing, content iteration and overall refinement. Over the past months we've worked closely with community feedback, focusing on some of the most requested improvements since launch. The result is an update that touches almost every aspect of the game, introducing new content, improving existing systems and making the overall experience more polished than ever before . To celebrate the release of Spellcraft, Alaloth is now available with a 50% discount. Check out the trailer!
changedMAGIC & MOREThe heart of Spellcraft is, unsurprisingly, magic. One of the most requested topics from the community over the years has been the iteration of spellcasting and endgame balance. With version 2.0 we've reviewed virtually every spell in the game , revisiting values, scaling and interactions to create a more engaging and balanced experience. Endgame magic has been slightly toned down in several areas, while many underused abilities have been improved to offer more meaningful choices throughout progression. Particular attention has been dedicated to summons , which received a substantial rework aimed at making them more interesting to use while remaining balanced across all stages of the game.
addedMAGIC & MOREAnother highly requested feature finally makes its debut: difficulty selection at the beginning of the adventure . While Hardcore Mode and Permadeath remain unlockable and can still be activated in-game as intended, players can now choose between four different difficulty levels before starting a new character. Whether you're looking for a more accessible experience or a tougher challenge from the very first minutes, the choice is now yours .
addedMAGIC & MOREStory, Adventurer, Champion, Legend of Plamen: these are the new difficulty levels you can choose from, along with Hardcore & Permadeath options to be activated finishing the game once
fixedNEW CONTENT & IMPROVEMENTSSpellcraft is not only about systems. The update also introduces new quests, new NPCs and a significant revision of loot progression across the world of Plamen. We've revisited a large number of existing items and added many new socketed weapons, giving greater importance to crafting, gems and item customization. These systems have always been part of Alaloth's design philosophy and can now shine much more consistently throughout the adventure. We've also introduced new vendors, addressed a variety of issues reported by players over the last few months and fixed numerous minor problems involving dialogues, typos, quest conditions and other edge cases. As always, localization has received another substantial pass. Thanks to the help of our community, both officially supported languages and community-driven translations have been improved across the board.

THE PRIMAL QUEST

This quest deserves a chapter of its own. Without entering spoiler territory, this questline has generated discussion since the Early Access days. It brought us some criticism, a few negative reviews, but also many compliments from players who understood what we were trying to achieve. One concept that often went unnoticed is that it has always been possible to encounter the protagonists of the quest again later in the game. However, because Alaloth is built around progression through unlocked content blocks, this outcome wasn't always as intuitive or visible as we originally intended. Starting today, players will find it much easier to address past choices and mistakes thanks to a brand-new quest specifically designed to improve clarity and accessibility around this storyline. We'll leave the discoveries to you. No spoilers.

LOOKING AHEAD

And now, the future. After years of work, we're finally ready to talk about the next major milestone for Alaloth: the DLC. The official announcement is scheduled for mid-July, when we'll share all the details and reveal the release date we've finally locked in. In many ways, this expansion represents a major achievement for the team. It is the result of years spent expanding and refining Alaloth into the large-scale RPG we originally envisioned, despite all the limitations that come with being an independent studio. This doesn't mean updates are stopping. Far from it.Ideas for version 3.0 are already on the table, but this summer our primary focus will be the new DLC campaign, the long-awaited console versions and several other initiatives connected to the Alaloth brand. Meanwhile, the world of Plamen recently surpassed 150,000 players, a milestone that means a great deal to us considering the journey began with the Early Access launch in 2022. Fittingly, that anniversary returns on June 30th. To celebrate both the anniversary and the launch of Spellcraft, we're also releasing a brand-new thematic armor set: the Luminous Redeemer Armor Pack.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3756450/Alaloth_Champions_of_The_Four_Kingdoms__Luminous_Redeemer_Set/ As always, thank you for your incredible support. Your feedback, reports, suggestions and passion have helped shape Alaloth into what it is today, and Spellcraft is yet another example of how important this collaboration continues to be.

Stay tuned. This summer won't be about Alaloth only... But we'll talk about that very soon. See you in Plamen
