changedAs previously revealed, Spellcraft is the biggest systems-focused update the game has received since months , centered around a fine tuning of magic and the endgame experience, both rebalanced from the ground up. But that's only part of the story. Over the past months we’ve listened carefully to feedback from the community, collected data like never before, analyzed player behavior, progression, engagement and pain points, and worked relentlessly to improve the experience across the board. Spellcraft is where all of that converges .
addedThis update represents a new peak for the team, and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone at Gamera for the passion and commitment they poured into it. Spellcraft contains months of work, discussions, iterations and improvements we had been planning for a very long time . New systems, reworked numbers and scaling, new contents [quests, NPC, chars] and a few surprises we’ll reveal in detail over the coming weeks.
changedA SUMMER OF ANNOUNCEMENTSSummer is approaching, and with it comes a season full of news. Between Summer Game Fest season and Gamescom, the next months will be incredibly important for us . As mentioned previously, Gamera has grown , evolved and is currently working on many things we cannot wait to share with our community. Not only around Alaloth. But also around what comes next. We are building an infrastructure designed to connect the studio, the players, Alaloth and the future projects tied to this universe in ways we never could before . There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and this summer will mark the beginning of many announcements.
addedA SUMMER OF ANNOUNCEMENTSAnd starting today, a new cosmetic set is also available! The Heartwood Set A new elven-themed cosmetic pack created for nature magic users, inspired by ancient natural forces and woodland aesthetics. The set pairs up with the Rimeward Set released during the Northwind celebrations, expanding the collection of optional cosmetic content available for players looking to further customize their champions. Just cool stuff we thought some of you would enjoy It!

addedLOOKING BACKDuring these months, especially with the new structure inside the company, we’ve tried to improve not only the game itself but also the way we interact with players and manage the community. My approach has always been direct and honest. Sometimes maybe too direct for someone’s taste . That honesty brought criticism from some people calling us arrogant or presumptuous because we openly explain our design decisions, because we answer reviews point by point [any], or because sometimes we openly say when something written in a review is simply wrong.

Hello Champions!

Today we are finally ready to officially announce that Spellcraft, the next massive free update for Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms, will arrive this June. This is not just another patch.

This is Alaloth 2.0.

As previously revealed, Spellcraft is the biggest systems-focused update the game has received since months, centered around a fine tuning of magic and the endgame experience, both rebalanced from the ground up. But that's only part of the story. Over the past months we’ve listened carefully to feedback from the community, collected data like never before, analyzed player behavior, progression, engagement and pain points, and worked relentlessly to improve the experience across the board. Spellcraft is where all of that converges.

This update represents a new peak for the team, and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone at Gamera for the passion and commitment they poured into it. Spellcraft contains months of work, discussions, iterations and improvements we had been planning for a very long time. New systems, reworked numbers and scaling, new contents [quests, NPC, chars] and a few surprises we’ll reveal in detail over the coming weeks.

A SUMMER OF ANNOUNCEMENTS

Summer is approaching, and with it comes a season full of news. Between Summer Game Fest season and Gamescom, the next months will be incredibly important for us. As mentioned previously, Gamera has grown, evolved and is currently working on many things we cannot wait to share with our community. Not only around Alaloth. But also around what comes next. We are building an infrastructure designed to connect the studio, the players, Alaloth and the future projects tied to this universe in ways we never could before. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and this summer will mark the beginning of many announcements.

And starting today, a new cosmetic set is also available! LOOKING BACK

June is also a special moment for us because it marks another anniversary connected to our Early Access journey. And honestly, looking back today makes me proud. Proud of what the game became. Proud of the community that stayed with us. Proud of surviving moments where many smaller teams simply disappear. Some of you obviously noticed the upload of a small update last week, alongside a Steam news entry that was supposed to be… well, exactly this one.

Unfortunately, life sometimes has other plans.

Last Saturday I suddenly lost my father and had to rush back home, traveling more than 1200km to stay close to my mother and my family during an incredibly difficult moment. It created obvious complications not only on a personal level, but also logistically and work-wise for everything we had planned. And as if that was not enough, only five days later, my grandmother also passed away. The past days have honestly been devastating.

Still, during moments like these, you also realize how much this project, this team and this community became part of your life over the years.

During these months, especially with the new structure inside the company, we’ve tried to improve not only the game itself but also the way we interact with players and manage the community. My approach has always been direct and honest. Sometimes maybe too direct for someone’s taste. That honesty brought criticism from some people calling us arrogant or presumptuous because we openly explain our design decisions, because we answer reviews point by point [any], or because sometimes we openly say when something written in a review is simply wrong.

We never disrespected anyone.

We answered people during the day, during the night, during holidays, at Christmas, on New Year’s Eve, while sick, while traveling, everywhere and always because we genuinely care about this game and the people playing it. What becomes frustrating is seeing misinformation repeated endlessly even after being clarified dozens of times. Seeing someone refund after 10 minutes because “ the localization looks AI-generated after we explained the process publicly over and over again is honestly exhausting. And that’s just one example among many.

Of course we cannot expect everyone to read every explanation we publish, and that’s fair. But we do expect basic respect. Because for a small team, Steam perception matters. A lot.

And seeing old narratives repeated endlessly, can become incredibly frustrating, especially when the same things are ignored when done by massive AAA productions. And yes, on top of everything else, there are still people accusing us of “ begging for support ” whenever we ask players to consider leaving a positive review if they enjoy the game.

Which is honestly funny considering how common this practice is across the entire industry, including among massive AAA studios and publishers. But apparently if I quietly ask people to consider leaving a thumbs-up to support a small independent team, suddenly that becomes controversial. So let me renew that invitation now, personally, during a difficult moment for both me and the team: If you love Alaloth and what we’ve built together, and you still haven’t had the chance to leave a positive review on Steam, please do.

It genuinely helps more than people realize.

Still, we are here.

Still working. Still improving. Still listening. Still expanding the world of Plamen. And Spellcraft is proof of that.

See you in June, than.

Love you dad, love you nonna. I'll miss you so much. Alberto
