A.L.A.R.M. - Autistic Lovely Assassins Rise of the Matriarchy changes
Welcome back to another Inside TeeKru!
This month has been a big one as we've continued pushing A.L.A.R.M. towards Early Access. Combat has expanded, Stillreach has come to life with new characters, exploration has become more rewarding, and we've introduced new challenges for players to conquer.
Heavy Attacks Complete
We've now finished the Heavy Attack system for all four melee weapon classes:
Spear
Twin Blades
Hammer
Knives
Every weapon now features five directional Heavy Attacks, with the move changing depending on your movement direction:
Stand and Deliver – Hold your ground and unleash a devastating attack.
Forward Assault – Charge into battle with an aggressive strike.
Retreat and Strike – Create space while punishing your enemies.
Lethal Left Fury – Attack while moving left.
Righteous Assault – Attack while moving right.
Combined with two unique Special Skills for every weapon, each weapon class now has its own distinct combat style.
Camp Escalations
The world is becoming more dangerous.
Enemy camps now feature a new Camp Escalation system. After banishing a camp, it won't stay quiet forever. Over time, the camp rebuilds itself, returning with stronger enemies and greater rewards.
Tier 1 – Concubines
Tier 2 – Melancholy Healers join the fight alongside the Concubines.
Tier 3 – Melancholy Healers, Fear Girls, Concubines, and the Field Mother mini-boss, who keeps the pressure on with ranged attacks while commanding the battlefield.
Every successful banishment rewards you with loot, while the first time you clear each camp also grants a special one-time reward, making exploration even more worthwhile.
Stillreach Opens Its Doors
Stillreach is beginning to feel like a real town, with all of our major vendors now in place:
Curly Dust keeps everyone well fed with freshly cooked meals.
Amara specializes in Arquanum technology.
Nixie outfits adventurers with clothing and gear.
Piper runs the Exchange, turning salvaged materials into valuable trade goods.
Petra is the town medic... although when she's wearing her plague mask, trusting her can be a little difficult.
Mika supplies weapons for those heading into danger.
Billie serves up drinks and conversation at the local bar.
DJ V and Luma provide Dance Tech and Affinity upgrades to help you master the art of Dansassination.
New Gameplay Systems
Several major gameplay systems also came online this month:
A complete vendor and Exchange economy.
Item salvaging, allowing equipment to be broken down into valuable trade resources.
Player Storage for safely storing your equipment.
Underwater foliage with salvageable resources for explorers willing to dive beneath the surface.
Save Points with fast travel between discovered locations.
Continued world optimization as we prepare for larger playtests and Early Access.
Every month A.L.A.R.M. feels more complete, and it's exciting seeing all of these systems coming together. We're looking forward to sharing even more with you as we continue the journey toward Early Access.
Thanks for following our development, and we'll see you next month for another Inside TeeKru!
