changedIt's been revitalising to return to this game and actually have these shader ideas work out. Feels again like how the original game production was - a real test of my skills and a way to practice them. But having a working product as a base is... well it's just kinda neat tbh. I don't need to make a lot from scratch 😅

A month in, and this update is continuously moving along,

  • The rebinding window is done

  • Settings menu has had a small overhaul to be more usable

  • Exposed a few more settings (for camera zoom, speed)

  • Added more optionals - such as to darken the area behind the core to help with readability

  • and as you can tell from above - a lot more effects are coming together!

Next on my list is to work on the two new node mechanic ideas I had, and to give the story screen some love:

A new shader to warp the scene and make it moody, but balancing the visuals to not be too distracting from the text.

I also want to see if I can make the node meshes look a little more... 'interesting'? but I don't know what to do with that idea just yet.

Thanks for tuning in, and here's to another big month of Cool Stuff™ - Canvas
