Zumbi Blocks 2 Open Alpha changes
Zumbi Blocks - version 2.1.5.0
In this May update i'm adding a helicopter rescue sequence at the last wave, after which you beat the match and return to lobby.
Like i promissed before, now you need to beat certain modes to unlock other modes.
This is tracked through challenges, that are tied to 8 Steam Achievements. Challenges can also reward you with new skins and perks, and extra perk slots.
All improvements can be checked on the full change log below.
Full update notes:
Breakout victory condition:
. Implemented a victory condition for Breakout mode
. At the last wave, a helicopter arrives at a random point on the beach
. You can request extraction and leave the island after surviving a final wave of zombies
Lose condition:
. Added a "lives" count to the HUD's top right
. As usual, in single-player, you lose if you die with no lives left
. Lives now exist in multiplayer and are visible on the HUD as well
. Like usual, in multiplayer, you lose the game if everybody dies at the same time, but only after you have run out of lives
. Respawn time is now 5 seconds by default, and only increases to 30 seconds if the team has no lives left
Challenges and Achievments:
. Added a set of 9 challenges to pursue in the game
. Each challenge unlocks exclusive rewards
. Challenges are required to unlock different game difficulties and modes
. For now you can be rewarded with: unlocking a new mode, extra perk slots, or new skins
. Beating challenges also grants you Steam achievements
Extra skins and perks:
. Added new skins and perks to the game
. Added zombies and boss themed skins to be obtained by beating challenges
. Also added a "Paramedic" and "Miner" skins that can be unlocked normally as Tier 2 loadouts
. Most perks are related to specific skins, and they are now unlocked together
. If you get the perk you also get the skin at the same time, and vice-versa
. The "Paramedic" skin also unlocks the "Defibrilator" perk
. The "Miner" skin also unlock the "Clip-on light" perk
Match stats summary:
. After you win or lose the game you'll see a brief animation and a new game over screen
. The game over screen shows match stats, and a summary of everything unlocked during the match
Bug fixes:
. Fixed lower LOD model versions of Tier 2 and 3 zombies
. Fixed mouse getting locked when pressing middle mouse button
. Fixed melee weapons not spawning on hard mode
. Fixed perks not counting towards your loadout level score shown in the lobby
. Fixed visual glitches on the lobby background scenario
. Fixed player character animation glitches when the game is paused
. Fixed bad hit detection of bullets hitting the ground near water
