Zombie God changes
Summary
This week brings significant updates to the World Map, agents, abilities, and general balance. Two new DNA upgrade trees Ripper and Screamer have been added, expanding zombie progression options.
Multiple zombies received adjustments to their initial charges, and several ability costs were rebalanced.
Graveyards were also reworked to hold more units and spawn faster. The UI received improvements such as a new context-based Infest cast and new notification styles.
Additionally, a new Checkpoint map has been added, alongside fixes to speed bugs, health regeneration, and multiple interface issues.
World Map
A new Checkpoint map has been added to the world map.
Bloodberry Farm now guarantees 2,000 corpses as a reward.
Ghastonbury guaranteed reward reduced from 10,000 to 5,000.
Miscellaneous
Fixed a bug where special zombies could sprint at extremely high speeds when benefiting from speed-based DNA buffs.
Removed “coming soon” items from the Hub scene.
Fixed health regeneration so it no longer drains health when gained through blessings.
UI
Infest is now cast directly by context-clicking a graveyard.
Removed the Infest button from the HUD.
Added improved notification popups matching the level-end news style.
Fixed issues with the DNA upgrade hub menu UI.
Agents
Added the Ripper DNA upgrade tree.
Added the Screamer DNA upgrade tree.
Reduced initial charges for multiple zombies:
Bulker: 3 → 2
Burster: 3 → 2
Ripper: 3 → 2
Screamer: 3 → 2
Spitter: 3 → 2
Graveyard capacity increased from 8 → 10.
Graveyard spawn count adjusted from 5 → 3.
Graveyard spawn time reduced from 3 → 2.5.
Zombie run speed increased from 4.1 → 4.4.
Civilian health reduced from 50 → 40.
Police health reduced from 100 → 50.
Army health reduced from 100 → 80.
CDC health increased from 100 → 120.
Abilities
Burst ability cost reduced from 2000 → 1000.
Goorain cost increased from 2000 → 5000.
Mutate ability cost increased from 2000 → 2500.
Balance
Burster is no longer granted at the start of a game.
The DNA Upgrade Station is now unlocked immediately.
Infinite Infest casts are now allowed on maps.
