Zombie God changes
Summary
This update delivers a major overhaul to enemy defences, the World Map, and core gameplay systems.
Tanks and APCs have been significantly expanded with new weapons, animations, knockback effects, and smarter behaviour, while defence layouts across many locations have been reworked for better variety and challenge.
The World Map has been redesigned into island-based progression with new events and modes, including Horde levels. The shop now features Totems and Contracts, adding risk-reward choices during missions.
Extensive UI improvements modernise the DNA Upgrade system, shop flow, and menus, alongside broad balance tuning across all units.
Defences
Tanks now slow down as they take damage, losing speed proportionally to their remaining health.
Added machine guns to Tanks and APCs.
Added firing animations for Tank and APC weapons.
Fixed projectile spawn positions for rotating turrets.
Tanks and APCs now apply knockback on impact.
Zombies can no longer path inside Tanks and APCs.
Reduced Tank cannon rate of fire.
Added a minimum firing range to Tank and APC cannons.
Added a new CDC Jeep Patrol defence.
Mortar Teams now have more ammo and fire more frequently.
Adjusted base defence spawn rates across all maps.

Gameplay
The Shop now offers Totems — powerful, one-time-use items that can be deployed during missions:
Flame Totem: Burns human forces
Speed Totem: Boosts zombie attack and movement speed
Proximity Totem: Explodes when enemies approach
Zombie Totem: Spawns additional zombies
Added Contracts to the Shop, offering buffs for zombies when completed, or buffs for humanity when failed.
Added a Radial Menu during levels for quick totem placement via right-click.
UI
Fixed health bars lingering after units reach zero health.
Added ability preview videos for Burst, Mutate, and Goo Rain.
Revamped DNA Upgrade system visuals with clearer separation between selection and upgrading.
Combined zombie purchases and charge purchases into a single shop section with clearer icons.
Added animations to the Shop and DNA Upgrade screens.
Revamped the main menu layout and presentation.
Added an in-game changelog to the main menu.
World Map
World Map has been split into distinct islands.
Island progression now increases in difficulty the further you advance.
Updated World Map art style.
Added additional World Map events.
Horde levels are now available on the World Map.
Improved World Map icons to better reflect their function and rewards.
Level Geometry
Added additional Police and Army units to Scabborough.
Balance
Bloodberry Farm reward changed to grant Research instead of Corpses.
Performed extensive balance tuning across all units, adjusting damage, health, and accuracy values.
