Wrack: Reclamation changes
First off, thank you to everyone who's checked the game out so far! The response has been wonderful, and it looks like everyone is having a great time so far. (If you haven't yet, the launch discount is only in effect for less than 24 hours!)
But, just because it's released and we've hit version 1.0 doesn't mean we're done with it - not by a long shot! With a full second episode in development (more on this... not soon), we want to make sure you have plenty to tide you over. Therefore, we've got some fun extras coming to the game - from simple extras to major content that we're still figuring out. Let's dive into the post-launch content, shall we?
THE COMPENDIUM
Much like in the original game, we're going to allow you to view artwork seen in the game, as well as other fun bits of art (like concept sketches). It'd also be fun to see something of a bestiary/codex, where you can see more info about your weapons, the enemies, etc. We'll likely include this in the first patch!
CHALLENGES
Some of you have probably noticed those little tyderium coins scattered throughout the maps - which appear to do... absolutely nothing! Well, we'd like to give those coins a purpose: unlocking little challenge maps! These challenges will include things like, survive a certain amount of time, complete a mini level without dropping your streak, etc. We'll likely get this in the second patch.
QUICK PLAY
The original Wrack had two extra modes: Time Attack and Score Attack. It also had a "Quick Play" mode, and in Reclamation, we're going to combine all three! Quick Play will allow you to replay any map you've already beaten. Plus, the results will be sent to the Steam leaderboards, which will allow you to sort by time or score. So, effectively, this is both a Time Attack and Score Attack mode!
INVASION MODE... OR... SOMETHING?
The last one... honestly, we haven't quite figured out yet! But, it's so big, that it's likely to be DLC (possibly free, so be cool)! We're looking at something like an invasion/survival mode where you battle waves of incoming enemies. We'll probably truly make it Wrack and combine it with Balderdash! mode so that if your streak runs out... you die!!
Thanks to everyone for checking out the game, and here's to more! Time to get back to work...
