A stability-focused update — three save/load and crash fixes rolled into one.
FIXED - Crisis decision boxes no longer pop up twice. The decision window was being shown by two systems at once, so you had to click each choice twice — and resolving the duplicate could double-apply the decision's effects or crash the game. You now get a single decision window.
Save/load is now seamless. Loading a game restores every metric exactly, with no drift across repeated save/load cycles, and opening a screen no longer nudges any number (report screens are now strictly read-only). You continue exactly where you left off, at every level of the game.
Approval rate is stable on load. Your approval is restored precisely and verified never to crash or swing wildly after loading — immediately and across a long run of post-load turns.
Each of these is now covered by automated tests so they can't slip back in. Combined with the earlier fixes (diplomacy/political/war history persisting, pending decisions surviving a save, and the load soft-lock), saving and loading should now be rock solid.
Thank you to everyone who reported these — your detailed feedback made them easy to track down.
