Just wanted to give a real update on where things have been with Widle.

Honestly... I kind of messed up.

As the game started getting bigger, I realized some of the systems I built early on just were not going to scale the way I needed them to. I could have kept piling stuff on top and hoped for the best, but I knew that would just create bigger problems later, so I made the call to step back and rework some pretty major parts of the game.

It definitely slowed things down, and life outside of development has been busy too, but I think I am finally making some progress.

Over the last little while I have been:

  • Reworking major backend systems • Rebuilding the shop and inventory so things feel smoother and easier to use • Removing extra menus and layers • Updating prices and balancing the game economy • Cleaning up older systems as the game grows

Widle is finally starting to feel like the game I had in my head from the beginning.

If all keeps going to plan, I am hoping to get a playable demo into your hands within the next few weeks.

Really appreciate everyone following along and being patient.
