Wicked Island changes
We’re currently hard at work on a huge overhaul of the building system in Wicked Island — one that opens the door to far more creative freedom, cozy homes, and detailed player-made environments than ever before.
While this update isn’t live yet, here’s a preview of what’s coming:
🔨 More Pieces, More Creativity
The total number of wooden build pieces is expanding to around 60, with many entirely new shapes added, from half/quarter walls to decorative beams and a lot more options for roofing. All old wood pieces have been replaced with the new visual style, making your builds feel sharper, warmer, and more cohesive.
Whether you're building a modest hut or an elaborate hillside fortress, this update aims to give you the flexibility to make it yours.
🛋️ Furniture & Decoration
A big part of this update is about making your home feel lived-in and personal. In totalt there will be over 20 furniture items and 18 decorative props, everything from more storage options, statues, banners, lighting and clutter decorations.
Steam post image Note: storage furniture is functional, but most new props are purely decorative.
You’ll finally be able to turn your builds into true homes, not just empty halls.
⚙️ Improved Build Experience
The build system itself has been tweaked with better snapping, quality-of-life fixes, and several key improvements:
You can now toggle placing items without collision, ideal for fine-tuning decorations.
Fixes for deleting pieces and other minor bugs that previously caused frustration and sometimes even crashes.
Snapping and placement logic has been tuned to make construction smoother overall.
Our goal is to make building as effortless as possible.
