Developer Letter – Year-End Greetings & Official Release Announcement
Greetings, souls of the underworld. This is HellAssociation, the developers of [Who's Next?].
Since launching Early Access for [Who's Next?] around March 2025, nearly 10 months have flown by. We are writing this developer letter to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has played the game so far, and to share our plans for how [Who's Next?] will evolve after its official release, along with our year-end greetings.
First of all, we would like to sincerely thank all the terrifying(?) souls who have played our game, as well as the streamers and YouTubers who showcased it through broadcasts. Watching you enjoy the game and create videos around it has been a tremendous source of motivation for us, and every player has contributed to helping us make the game better. We will continue striving to ensure that the lessons learned during Early Access result in a smoother and more enjoyable experience at full release.
[Who's Next?] is scheduled for an official PC release and the launch of [Who's Next? Mobile] around January 2026.
According to our current plans, we are aiming in January, though this date may be pushed back to the end of January or February depending on store reviews or unforeseen issues.
We know many of you have been asking about the mobile version, and we apologize for the delay compared to what we mentioned in previous developer letters. [Who's Next? Mobile] will be available for free download on both Google Play Store and the App Store.
Below is an overview of the additions and changes planned for the official release and mobile versions.
Game Modes
In addition to the currently available Early Access modes—Free-for-All, Team Battle, and Number Tail Chase—the official release and mobile versions will introduce three new modes, including Solo Mode and Multi-Team Battles. We also plan to add a community-oriented rest mode where players can relax and enjoy mini-games while waiting, as well as numerous additional Cheon-ui (Rule Set) options that can be applied even in existing modes.
Quality-of-Life Improvements
Many convenience features suggested by players through our Discord community will be implemented, allowing you to experience a more refined and improved version of [Who's Next?] at launch.
Currency Acquisition / Skin Price Adjustments
After the official release, new categories will be added to the currently available character skins (such as pet slots and emote slots). There are currently around 300 skin items available, and over 100 new skins are planned to be added at launch.
Prices of existing skin items will be adjusted upward, and the amount of Silver Bars earned at the end of each match will be slightly reduced.
We are also reviewing options to exchange Silver Bars for small amounts of Gold Bars, or to acquire small amounts of Gold Bars through gameplay. Even modest exchange or collection methods are being considered.
As with the Early Access version, skins and monetization will not affect gameplay.
Mobile ↔ PC Cross-Platform Play
[Who's Next? Mobile] and the PC version will support cross-platform matchmaking, allowing players to play together seamlessly. Additionally, if you register an SNS account (Google / Apple) on PC in advance, you will be able to log into the mobile version using the same social account.
However, if you start playing on mobile first and later purchase the PC version, please contact us and we will assist you with linking your accounts.
If you encounter any inconveniences while playing [Who's Next?], or if you have suggestions for improvement, please leave a message on the #Idea-Suggestions board of our Discord server (

The year 2025 was deeply meaningful for the HellAssociation team as well. As a group of university students, this was our first game release, and through the interest and support of many players, we were able to grow and learn immensely. Exhibiting at events like G-STAR and Tokyo Game Show, winning contests we once only dreamed of, and watching streamers we admired play our game—all of these experiences were both exciting and surreal.
Just as this year was meaningful for us, we sincerely hope it was a meaningful year for all of you who played our game. Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude.
We look forward to greeting you again in the underworld in the Year of Byeong-o, 2026.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
HellAssociation Team
