changedHeyo, let's see what changed.
addedI decided to make some new graphical changes. But why? Mostly because I just felt like things were outdated already. There were FPS drops in the models since I used Sketchup 3D. Used. Now, I use Maya. Also, I remodeled everything and created my own grass textures, anything you see that is a stock asset, I plan on changing. So please, no worries. I plan on using my own assets, no worries.
changedWhile it wasn't bad a few months ago to me, I look at it now and think it's pretty bad. It isn't bad to most people either, The FPS in this was pretty bad. Like, terrible. The models would have to be redone to fix that issue, so. I did redo it. In another program, I just said screw it, and redid it. While the menu was also in theme, it gave too much away for the story in the beginning. I'd like the players to go in surprised. Believe me, this game has a lot of silly stuff, and serious stuff.
addedAnyway, here is this NEW menu.
changedThere is now a logo, interactive text that when hovered over, animation will play, and options that are very universal. The options will only get better, no worries. Here is an example of the option menu. This isn't fully done, so please be aware. Well, the programming is done. But the UI isn't.
changedThere are presets, and people must wonder what these presets do, so I put an option to read them. This also isn't done when it comes to visibility. So, take a look. This will be updated in the future.

Heyo, let's see what changed.

So, a lot has happened behind the scenes these past few weeks. I'd like to show you.

I decided to make some new graphical changes.

I remade the ENTIRE game from what I had already. This was pretty quick. Y'know, the time going and all. Let me show you the progress. I remade the entire main menu. Let me show you main menu before.

While it wasn't bad a few months ago to me, I look at it now and think it's pretty bad.

Anyway, here is this NEW menu.

There is now a logo, interactive text that when hovered over, animation will play, and options that are very universal. The options will only get better, no worries. Here is an example of the option menu. This isn't fully done, so please be aware. Well, the programming is done. But the UI isn't.

More options soon.

There are presets, and people must wonder what these presets do, so I put an option to read them. This also isn't done when it comes to visibility. So, take a look. This will be updated in the future.

This is how it will look. But UI will be changed when it comes to sprites, animations will play. Everything works! The menu is fully animated and looks better than the original. The original menu did have stuff done, just didn't look as clean. Now this does. It also has a fully fleshed logo. I will be updating this Steam a bit more soon.

And to update this steam, this game now runs on the URP pipeline, as I believe the HDRP pipeline is a great pipeline, but it limits me to future planning. If I ever wanted to port this game to the Switch, for example, or the earlier consoles, it would be extremely hard to. As the HDRP pipeline is something that makes frame rate tank. So, I'm switching to the URP pipeline to make this stuff a little easier on everyone. Woohoo.

I think that's really it, though. Here is a few more screenshots. I'm getting there in development for big stuff. I just decided to remake this stuff since it didn't satisfy me, if it didn't satisfy me then it wouldn't for most players. Furthermore, I'll be updating a lot of things in this game. The sprites, UI, you name it.

Still workin' on stuff, will definitely change this lighting, remember, this is just the beginning of the game, there is a WHOLE town to explore, and the post-processing will constantly change. It just depends on what area you're in. Gonna be great.
