Main Focus: Optimization, Polish, and New Features

This update brings major optimizations, UI improvements, and some exciting new features to Wave Defense: Trappist! The goal has been to refine the game, make it more accessible to more players, and introduce new ways to personalize your Mech.

New Features & Changes

  • Unlockable Mech Cosmetics – Level up your Mech in a run to unlock new visual gadgets that showcase your piloting skills. No gameplay impact—just bragging rights!

  • New HUD UI – A redesigned HUD that provides clearer information while keeping the screen less cluttered.

  • Expanded Pause Menu

  • Steam Cloud Save – Your save file, including all paint jobs, is now backed up to Steam, so you can continue your game on another computer.

  • Improvements to Photo Mode – More polish and fixes to enhance the in-game photography experience.

Optimization & Performance

  • Optimized the game to run better on more PC and Mac setups. Players on lower-end systems should see improved FPS and stability.

  • New Downsampling Setting – Adjust graphics settings to improve performance without a major impact on visuals.

  • Polished all weapons – Tweaks to make each weapon feel more satisfying to use.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed “stuck on red loading screen” bug – This should no longer happen when loading into a world.

  • Improvements to the Tutorial – Faster pacing and better guidance based on player feedback.

  • General polish and bug fixes across multiple systems.
