Radar, NAV, UI panels....everything spiraled. After a long rebuild over the holiday, the core gameplay foundation is finally back in good shape, and in many ways stronger than before. What you’re getting in this patch is the stabilized baseline we can finally build on.

Patch v0.1.21 — Radar + NAV Overhaul

Over the past several weeks I managed to break almost every major system in the game while trying to fix one problem. Radar, NAV, UI panels....everything spiraled. After a long rebuild over the holiday, the core gameplay foundation is finally back in good shape, and in many ways stronger than before. What you’re getting in this patch is the stabilized baseline we can finally build on.

A new temporary setting was also added that shows the blue beams. This is mainly for troubleshooting target returns and verifying that bearings, ranges, and sweep timing line up the way they should. It won’t stay on forever, but for now it helps us confirm that contacts are appearing exactly where the radar math says they should.

Radar & Contact Display

• Bearings, ranges, and sweep alignment now match true values • Corrected left/right mirroring errors • Cleaned up contact icons and heading indicators • Fixed the “blue beam” sweep-fade alignment issue • Improved click-to-hook accuracy in all modes • Hooked contacts now maintain their T-numbers consistently

Tracking & Collision Prediction

• More stable CPA/TCPA behavior • Improved danger-highlighting logic • Re-hooking contacts updates data reliably

NAV Display (Minimal ECDIS Style)

• Rebuilt the minimalist chart with cleaner scaling and grid spacing • Smoother route-line and waypoint rendering • Clearer active-leg highlighting • Player-ship icon now reflects true heading at all times • Fixed overlap issues between radar fullscreen and NAV display

UI & Interaction

• Fullscreen switching is more consistent • Cursor RNG/BRG readout is more readable and stable • Vector lines behave properly in true and relative modes • Improved mouse, touch, and drag responsiveness

VRM / EBL Tools

• Cleaner drag-to-place interaction • Improved on-screen previews • More consistent angle behavior in both display modes

Performance & Stability

• Fixed rotation and drift artifacts from older builds • Better fullscreen canvas scaling • Reduced redundant background calculations • General system cleanup and stability improvements
