🛠️ Warped Space - Patch Notes (Mar 26 – Apr 13, 2025)
✨ Some Highlights New Hostile Space Squid Variant added. Shield Modules are now lootable again!
Transfer Dock added to the Starter Base. - currently only transfers Ice fragments to the Oxygen Tank.
New Base Building Template (Part 1) with partial load-in and construction updates. Added De-Construct VFX to Build Tool (Temp) for a more visual experience. Re-added the ability to remove built items.
Added DeConstructor to Ship Panel – break down unwanted items. Ice Fragments now spawn near the starter base (testing phase).
⚙️ Gameplay & Balance Ships can no longer shoot through hollow asteroids.
Most Hostiles now guards areas and won’t chase players forever. - Targeting range reduced for said hostiles.
Game now checks inventory/equipped items to auto-complete already completed first tasks.
Base Oxygen will now only reduce while the player is inside the base. - Base oxygen levels can no longer go negative.
🧠 NPC's & Missions Mission system now prevents preloading areas that are too far away. Fighter spawn parameters updated for better balance.
Fixed a bug where "First Tasks" got stuck on: Research Scanning Tool.
🛠️ UI / UX Improvements Inventory stacking now displays correctly without needing a refresh. Inventory now shows accurate item counts.
Base Manager will now only display Base Modules. New tooltip system applied to ship setup and base modules (Refinery, Fabricator).
Fabricator UI opens/closes more consistently.
Build Tool UI Updated: Includes ESC-to-exit, improved hints, and feedback. Build Tool can now deconstruct incomplete builds. Tool Wheel unequip now holsters tool before unequipping.
🔊 Audio Updates Ship collision audio now reflects impact speed. Drone probe sounds updated to sound more accurate; adjusted audio range.
🧊 Visual & Effects Updated Ion Field effect on ship engines. Updated : Improved interiors, animated doors, and enhanced lighting.
🐛 Bug Fixes Fixed bug where ship became 'slippery' after Eject. Fixed Starter Base door issue. Fixed a tractor beam visual glitch when switching targets. Fixed character module equipping issue on first-time play. Fixed long-standing bug with persistent item deletion, which also affected looting respawn capsules. Close button tooltips no longer lingers.
Saving system improved: now handles HDD full and keeps a backup file.
Base Manager and Oxygen Systems stability fixes.
⚡ Performance Minor optimizations across the board. Improved performance with data lookups.
