Hang-out at the Hobby Table

Have you ever thought about what your Warhammer miniatures do once you finish up working on them for the day and step away from your hobby table? They certainly don’t come alive. That would be absurd!

In our most recent trailer,shared during the 10th annual Skulls Showcase, several new characters, weapons, and stages were revealed, including the Warhammer Hobby Table stage.

Today, we’re going to take a closer look at the Hobby Table stages for both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar universes. So, grab your Warhammer paints, sharpen those hobby tools, and prepare a cup of Recaf as the home of your hobby comes alive! 🧱💥 Steam post image

Why a Hobby Table?

Working from sprue to a finished miniature is a journey of true satisfaction, made all the better when you display it proudly in a prized position in your cabinet or deploy it to a tabletop battlefield. At Auroch Digital, we’re huge fans of Warhammer (we’re the developers of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, don’t you know) and wanted to celebrate this side of the hobby by creating a stage where the environment is one so familiar to many of us.

Whoever owns this hobby table has clearly been a little careless and eagle-eyed viewers might have spotted some familiar tools littering the table. Battle amongst Warhammer paint pots, tools, mugs, notepads, storage boxes, and even a version of The Imperial Infantryman's Handbook 📚

Which faction occupies the Hobby Table?

We all have our favourite factions and characters to Build, Paint, and Play (and you should tell us what yours are). The real-life hobby table is a platform for tried and tested colour schemes to the uniquely creative. If you’re anything like us, you might have several projects on the go at once and so we’ve installed that chaos into this Warhammer Survivors stage.

Whilst nearly all of Warhammer Survivors’ stages take place in a specific biome or location against a certain enemy faction, the Hobby Table flips that concept on its head. This creative playground has you face off against numerous different enemy factions – sometimes all at once!

Does this mean I can select any character from a specific universe and have them fight several enemy factions from the same universe at the same time?

Yes! Similarly to the other stages in Warhammer Survivors, you’ll be able to select any character you wish from their respective Warhammer universe (Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar). We haven’t revealed all our playable characters yet so you can be sure you’ll have plenty to choose from on release.

Was there anything I could have missed in this stage during the trailer?

We’ll be honest, there’s still a little bit more work to do on the stage, but we wanted to show it off as soon as possible (because we’re that excited!). Expect some additional flourishes for launch of the game.

In the trailer, there was also a brief appearance of Space Marine 2’s Demetrian Titus. Blink and you’ll miss him. 👀
