addedTactical Build Menu!I gotta say... this tactical build menu is REALLY bringing the game into a new direction. One that I'm pumped to say is super in line with what I hope the game to be, and after playing with it, I hope you'll think so TOO! :D there's some issues to work out with it, but give it a play and let me know what you think! :D
changedHere's my big questionsI'm thinking there should be another resource that you build things with. How does something like 'supplies' sound? Trying to stay away from having to collect things like wood, stone, rope separately, and instead just have one type of resource :)

Tactical Build Menu!

Introducing the Tactical Build menu! :D press and hold 'T' to open the tactical build menu. From here you can call in troops, place structures and I'm still trying to figure out what the 3rd thing should be :P

I gotta say... this tactical build menu is REALLY bringing the game into a new direction. One that I'm pumped to say is super in line with what I hope the game to be, and after playing with it, I hope you'll think so TOO! :D there's some issues to work out with it, but give it a play and let me know what you think! :D

Here's my big questions

  • What would be some other fun things to build? Traps? Ladders? Trampolines?

  • I'm thinking there should be another resource that you build things with. How does something like 'supplies' sound? Trying to stay away from having to collect things like wood, stone, rope separately, and instead just have one type of resource :)

  • There needs to be a way to place larger blocks of troops, I'm thinking of making the scroll wheel toggle the size of the 'army block' you can place? (1 troop, 4 troops, 10 troops, 20 etc)

New Beta Locations!

Interactive Mantlet

Now you can build an interactive mantlet (siege shield), use the horizontal input commands to rotate it, and press the modifier key (usually 'E') to duck into cover :D

Mo0r improvements

  • exiting locations from within locations will actually move your position on the map.

  • added railings to Cutthroat Quarry.

  • added health bars to multiple emplacements.

  • started using integration sprites for input descriptions in text!

  • added back in audio to new text boxes

  • battlebar on battles... derp derp.

  • FX, made fog less thicc @GrimWolf

  • MAP, removed some trees in rivers @Festivized Hat

  • MAP, added extra killbox.

  • MAP, camping freezes inputs @Festivized Hat @Acerobby

  • MAP, made Hacklunds Junkyard under construction again @Seshien

  • CAM, Camera rotation freezing @Festivized Hat

  • LVL, Callow Creek, towers now count units towards liberation count. @Festivized Hat

  • LVL, Wendar, added more entrances!

  • UNIT, Pirate gunman's bullets should now arc a LOT less... and they're less accurate :P
