addedBeta Feedback Info!If you're not sure how to enable Beta Location mode, check it out HERE! and be sure to send me feedback either through the feedback towers, on DISCORD or via the online feedback form here! I've been cranking along with the Beta locations and it's been a LOT more fun than just working on them one at a time :) I feel overall they're more fun, and also they'll get released in batches, which is pretty cool :D (rather than just 1 new location every few weeks etc). I've also been devoting a lot of time to working on siege mode, and things are coming a long nicely :D

Fire & Fun!

Well friends! Here's a fun little mini-update while lots of the Beta Locations are in the final stretch! :) featuring brand new fire system where you can:

  • Light sticks/torches on fire.

  • Light certain wood props on fire.

  • Light fires/log stacks with lit torches

  • Light enemies on fire, and they'll light OTHERS on fire.

  • Light explosive barrels on fire.

I also started working on sort of destruction system for walls, I'm not sure how big/in depth it'll be. But right now you can knock down certain trees onto them :D Check out Rebelwood Camp to see it in action!

Fire System

You can light your simple stick on fire AND other props as well! (wood ones that is)

You can also light previously unlit fires/log stacks, I still need to go through some of the older levels and get the fire system up to date though :)

Also pretty fun, is that you can drag props into the fire too! Here I was seeing if I could light the barrel on fire and put it out with the water... I was a little too late xP

Cinematics!

I started getting more comfortable with some new cinematics tools! So get ready for some ridiculousness :P

New archers coming soon!

My friend Ryan DowlingSoka is making the archers look fantastic! I'll be integrating this new system soon, should make archers MUCH more useful. Be sure to follow him on Twitter for some other cool stuff :D

Mo0r improvements

  • CAM, sped up tactical cam panning

  • CAM, pulled tactical cam back farther

  • LVL, Hill Camp [BETA], improved cinematic, added rope tie to sword bridge, make rock divits more distinct, added WIP back entry way near rolling stones, added chief, added ladders.

  • LVL, Saltpeat Village [BETA], blocked in some units, added alternate way in with mining camp/allies, started work on a barracks door (spawn until destroy).

  • LVL, Swellow Village [BETA], added alternate way in (logging camp), added environment hint for moat crossing, added more units, blocked in explosive ambush raft with allies.

  • LVL, Highlands Battleground, armies face direction of eachother, fixed some navmesh issues with ruins placement.

  • LVL, Ally Training Camp [BETA], blocked in a combat arena area, made horse track bigger.

  • LVL, Rebelwood Camp [BETA], added falling log entrance.

  • LVL, The Pit [BETA], added more enemies, refined camp positions, added poison antidotes.

  • LVL, Mercenary Camp [BETA], improved interaction with purchasing units, working on unit database.
